For Fall/Winter 2012 Sweden’s most celebrated fashion brand, Acne, reexamines the idea of a luxury brand. Juggling with ‘fake’ materials such as imitation fur, fake leather, vinyl and polyester, designer Jonny Johansson worked to present an unexpected, young collection with clashes of silhouette, fabric and color. Though many looks were all black, the more colorful pieces and accessories worked well.

A couple of weeks ago, Swedish fashion brand Acne opened its second Parisian flagship store in an old garage in the Marais district. Rather than creating a typical French interior, they decided to create a Swedish inspired space, housing their collections. The turn out is a very modern, sharply designed space, that could not stand in more contrast to the beautiful old architecture of the French capital.

Sweden’s Acne has released another great looking Desert High boot, this time around in a rich blue suede. A brown leather lining and nude colored laces compliment the upper in a mighty classy looking way. This style, although done time and time again, is one of Acne’s stronger footwear offerings and they seem to do just enough with it to make the shoes stand out. These are available now through Acne.

Shot by Alana Paterson, Danish store Norse showcases their Spring/Summer 2011 offering via a new lookbook. Nanamica, adidas ObyO, Acne, HAN, Monitaly, Yuketen, Pendleton and of course their very own Norse Projects are represented in the lookbook shoot.

Built on a flat, thick rubber sole with Acne’s new Kearney Low Top Sneaker features a calf leather upper with heavy patent leather stitch details, leather laces and an embossed Acne house logo patch on the tongue – just like the Acne Broadway hi top sneakers seen earlier. The lows will be available soon through Acne in white, black or navy.

Acne presents a new high top sneaker as part their Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. The Broadway comes in three premium leather colorways, featuring patent leather stitching and an Acne logo patch on the side-panel. The sneakers are now available from the Acne online store.

As part of their early Spring 2011 Collection, Swedish brand Acne has released the above snake skin desert boot. If you keep the rest of your outfit simple, these will actually set a nice accent. They are now available at Acne stores and retailers around the globe.

As you might have noticed by now, we are big fans of the bomber jacket silhouette. Especially when the classic jacket comes with the right twist, it is right up our alley. Acne from Sweden presents two great versions as part of their Fall/Winter 2010 Collection – the Modern Bomber and the Leather Bomber. The Modern Bomber comes in a solid navy/brown colorway with cotton upper. The stand-out piece is of course the Leather Bomber, which comes with a fur lining. Both are now available from Acne stores.

Last night in Paris, Scandinavian label Acne presented their Spring 11 menswear collection (check SL for looks). Amongst a number of impressive garments was a collaboration with French sunglass designer Thierry Lasry. “Sunglasses were always the most important disco accessory,” creative director Jonny Johansson writes in the show’s notes. With bold, over-sized shapes, strong colors and reflective lenses, you’re sure to stand out wearing these – and we gather that’s exactly the point.

Por Vocacao has some great looking plimsolls from Acne. “A combination of durable canvas uppers with practical rubber soles, these sneakers have a timeless appeal and can be dressed up or down. Acne knows this and so they came up with their own version for SS10. The Arch sneaker comes in bleached and washed black denim, four-eye lace up closure and contrasting burgundy leather laces.”
