An interesting accessory comes from the Acronym Spring/Summer 2009 Collection – the 3A-MSOL1 solar charger. The system consists of a solar panel and a battery, as well as various adapters to make sure all your mobile devices get enough energy. The solar panel is covered in the same fabric as the Acronym bags, in which the solar charger can also be integrated on your travels.

A while back we showed you the Acronym Fall/Winter 2008 collection. The brand has now created some short movies, once again highlighting the immense functionality of all their gear. Have a look at the video here above, as well as two more videos after the jump.

Since recently presenting you the Acronym Fall/Winter 2008 collection some new pieces have turned up. The brand also presents this season some nice new accessories. Using cashmere, the brand produced a beanie and matching scarf. As usual they go one step further than everybody else. The scarf is not only 100% cashmere, but is also ultra packable and features a stow-away pouch integrated. That’s why we love Acronym, for these kind of features. The beanie comes matching the scarf.

Along with the accessories, The Glade also got in a new Acronym leather windstopper jacket, which is just as impressive.

The new Acronym Fall/Winter 2008 collection has landed at The Glade. Once again the brand offers a strong range of technical soft- and hardshell jackets, featuring a ton of details and smart functionality, while as usual keeping the look subtle.

Most interesting though we find this season the new bag range and especially the first ever backpack to come from the brand. Produced by Bagjack, the backpack is a beauty and highlight this season.

The much anticipated R3 sunglasses by Recon have finally been released. Featuring a Futura design and coming in a custom Acronym pouch, produced by Bagjack, the sunglasses are now available at Recon NYC and online for 200 USD. The sunglasses come in black and smokey grey. The R3 sunglasses are limited to 1000 pairs, 500 in each colorway. The R3P2 case is also sold separately.

Acronym got together with Medicom to design a 100% Bearbrick. Just like we are used from their clothing line, the Bearbrick also features very technical graphics, following strict lines and sticks to black and white. Images via Hideaki Shikama.

Since a couple of months we have heard rumors about Stone Island working with the design team behind Acronym on an upcoming Fall/Winter ‘08 capsule collection. We could not imagine a better fit. Both brands are known for high quality outerwear with lots of technical features and material research involved. Now we finally came across some more information on “The Shadow Project” and can also show you a first piece of the line.
“Stone Island’s Shadow project began as a discourse between Sportswear Company owner Carlo Rivetti and the design team of Michaela Sachenbacher and Errolson Hugh, also known as Acronym. A platform for exploration, the Shadow project rapidly evolved into a system based program for a new generation of urban masculine apparel.

This is certainly something very impressive we did not see coming. As most of you might be aware, Recon is about to launch their new R3 sunglass collection, with one of the first models being a collaboration with Futura.
Today first images of the case for the R3 collection came up and it looks like the R3-P2 case has been developed by Bagjack, premier bag makers from Berlin, and Acronym, a label known for its high quality technical clothing. The pouch comes in black/army green and looks very similar to the rest of the Acronym bag line.
This is just another reason for a purchase!

Acronym has released their Spring/Summer 2008 collection. There is not that much left to say about the brand – technically there is nothing like Acronym out there and in a market that seems to change rapidly, they have stayed consistent with their product, offering innovative military inspired technical gear.
Their Spring/Summer 2008 collection is no different. This season they offer a range of lightweight shell jackets, shorts as well as short-sleeve shirts.
