It looks like Dover Street Market and Comme des Garcons will have lots of surprises for us with the opening of their new Ginza store. We can already confirm a collaboration between Bape and Comme des Garcons PLAY, Supreme and Comme des Garcons SHIRT and now it also looks like the first ever Adam Kimmel store, designed by Adam Kimmel, will be housed inside the DSM Ginza space.

Latest March 16, 2012, when the new store opens its doors, we should have more news for you.

We continue on with our looks at the Fall/Winter 2012 collection as shown at Paris Fashion Week. Great shades of blue from Adam Kimmel. From Selectism – “Dazed delivers behind-the-runway photos from the Adam Kimmel show, Autumn Winter 2012. Inspired by “Area 51″ and USAF, mil-steez, Kimmel reaches into the blue territory that we’ve been seeing for autumn. While mil-inspired, the fashions are that – cut and fitted looks for the runway. Nothing too casual here.”

Adam Kimmel presents a nice and clean series of suede lace-up shoes for Spring/Summer 2012. Coming in both low top and mid top form, both styles come in a series of tonal suede versions. Leather mid soles and gum outer soles add both a premium appeal and a more casual look to these easy to wear shoes.

Supreme has worked with American designer Adam Kimmel to produce a two-piece corduroy suit for this Fall. The suit is understated, well crafted and made from Italian cotton corduroy. It features an unlined two button suit jacket and custom fit pant. The suit will be available in two colorways – dark navy and dark green.

Look out for a release in-store in NY, LA, London, Japan and online on November 3rd, 2011.

We have first seen this film many months ago and are glad to finally be able to show it to you. New York fashion designer Adam Kimmel is known for his excellent film work, but unfortunately it has been a while since the last one.

Anyways, here is his latest work – Dressed for Dinner. In this latest short film, magician David Blaine is dressed in the latest Adam Kimmel formal wear and swims with white sharks. Check it out!

The new Adam Kimmel Fall/Winter 2011 Collection sports some strong graphic t-shirts. Our favorite this season is the new ‘Yeti’ tee. The off white t-shirt features a large water-color styled Bigfoot Forest graphic, which covers most of the front and back of the t-shirt, created by artist Dan Attoe, who is responsible for most graphic of the designer’s collection this season.

After the Slip-Ons, we take a look at the upcoming Adam Kimmel Spring/Summer 2012 High Top Sneakers. The sneakers feature an interesting upper structure and all come with tonal suede uppers, small patch embroidery on the side-panels and the ‘K’ logo tag on the tongue. Overall the sneaker will release next season in 4 colorways.

Another favorite of ours from the first Adam Kimmel x Carhartt Fall/Winter 2011 Collection are the denim shirts. Coming in both raw and a light wash, the shirts feature two large chest pockets and suede details on the collar. These will also act as great jacket replacements in early fall, mainly due to their flannel lining. Soto Berlin has both in stock now.

From the first Adam Kimmel x carhartt Collection for Fall/Winter 2011, we present the merino wool/cashmere beanies. The classic carhartt beanie gets a material upgrade as part of the collaboration. It comes in three colorways, only featuring the blue carhartt logo, indicating the team-up of the two brands. Made in the USA, the beanies are now in stock at Soto Berlin, along with the rest of the collection.

One of our favorite sneakers to come from the Adam Kimmel Spring/Summer 2012 Collection, is the new slip-on sneaker. Featuring soft fabric uppers and a rather large ‘K’ logo tag, the slip-on looks casual, yet dressy enough to be worn with the suit, especially in the black colorway with blue piping details.

After previously organizing some of the most attention seeking collection presentations in Paris, New York designer Adam Kimmel decided to go with a runway show for his Spring/Summer 2012 Collection.

The architect turned fashion designer continues to be heavily inspired by American workwear and incorporates both cuts and styles into his collections. The fusion of that style with darker colors and premium fabrics results in the very unique Adam Kimmel look. For Spring/Summer 2012 we see a lot of black, greys, some interesting green camouflage patterns and the accent color red.

Today we had the chance at Pitti to take a first look at the upcoming Adam Kimmel x Carhartt Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. The collection releases for the first time this coming July for Fall/Winter 2011. The upcoming SS12 line plays mostly with black, beige and of course the signature blue tones of the New York designer. Made up of t-shirts, crewneck sweaters, jackets, blazers, as well as some mesh caps, it would not be a Kimmel collection without a couple of reversible pieces as well. The line stays true to both brands and is certainly something to look out for.

As part of his Spring/Summer 2011 Collection, American designer Adam Kimmel presents the Bandana Roll-Up Sleeve T-Shirts. Overall there are four different tees on offer, all featuring a silk lining on the roll up sleeves, which are cut a little wider than your regular t-shirt sleeves. Por Vocacao has them in stock now.

Recently we had the chance to take a closer look at the upcoming collaborative Carhartt x Adam Kimmel Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. Unlike most other collaborations by Carhartt, this one comes via the US brand and marks their first official collaboration of this type.

Adam Kimmel has fused some of his favorite colors and styles with the manufacturing and looks of heritage workwear brand Carhartt in this collection. We love the details and especially the dark blue tone that the designer exported into the line. The plaid lined denim shirts and cashmere beanies are also solid items. The classic Adam Kimmel blazer, this time produced by Carhartt is probably the best bet in the collection and something that should not be missed.

This comes somewhat unexpected – Supreme announced their new collaboration with Adam Kimmel for Spring/Summer 2011. This is exactly the kind of collaboration that send the New York brand apart from the rest of the pack.

“Adam Kimmel launched his eponymous men’s wear line in 2004 in New York. Known for creating timeless styles that infuse comfortable, utilitarian work wear with a sophisticated and elegant feel. Often inspired by artists and art movements, Kimmel has collaborated with art world luminaries like George Condo, Gerard Melanga, George Herms, Dan Colen and Ryan McGinley among others.

Working from the same principal of inspiration through popular culture and art. Supreme has worked with Adam Kimmel to produce a two-piece suit for this Spring. The suit is understated, youthful, well crafted, and made from Italian cotton twill. It features an unlined two button suit jacket & custom fit pant. Available in two colorways; navy and black.”

Supreme will be releasing their suits with Adam Kimmel on March 31st online and in store.

Designer Adam Kimmel has released a new “Summer Satin” reversible bomber jacket, made in Italy of 71% cotton and 29% silk. As seen in the image, one side of the jacket is in blue and grey, and the other in straight black. Available through Aloha Rag.
