Last week we showed you the “Rolling London” film from the adidas Originals 2010 campaign, featuring some of the riders from the adidas Skateboarding team. We caught up with them to talk about the video and the process behind it. First up is our chat with Benny Fairfax. Check it out here below.

Unlike all of the other guys, you were right at home in London since you grew up in England. How was it having your teammates there to skate the home turf?

It was wicked, I got to show the lads all the spots I grew up skating.

Did you mostly go to spots that you knew of?

Yeah for the most part, although we did come across a few random spots I hadn’t seen before… there is always new stuff to skate popping up all over the city.

adidas Originals kicks off the next chapter of their Neighborhood campaign for 2010. In “Rolling London” the brand takes the UK capital as the scenery and invited the team riders of the adidas Skateboarding division to take part.

“In 2010 adidas Originals takes to the streets in a new and authentic way. The setting for the celebration is the street corner where originality lives. We kicked if off with the launch of our Star Wars collaboration, then turned up the volume, inviting everyone to a celebration spreading from the underground to the rooftop.

With London as our neighborhood backdrop, we invited some of our friends from the adidas Skateboarding team to come, and when not filming the TV commercial, we took off to capture some footage on the streets of London. Join Nestor Judkins, Benny Fairfax (our London local), Tim OConnor and Klaus Bohms celebrating their originality on the streets of merry ole England.”

For Spring 2010 adidas Skateboarding got once again together with Mark Gonzales. They present two graphic t-shirts, one featuring the art by Mark Gonzales, the other one featuring a photo print. Both tees come in two colorways and should be available in stores soon.

Rad Collector links up this adi Skate gem by skateboard filmer and photographer Dan Wolfe. “As part of some updates to their site, adidas Skateboarding has dropped this sick new clip, “Frisco Stand Up.” Reconfirming both the fact that SF is skate paradise and adidas has one of the sickest teams out there, the video leaves one fact with the ability to elude complete understanding, how is the Gonz still so rad?”

HUF takes stock in some clean new Campus Vulc colorways. The Campus Vulc Hi comes in a rich maroon suede with white stripes, while the low is given the Silas Baxter-Neal treatment in brown suede with green accents.

As part of their Fall 2009 Collection, adidas Skateboarding presents a new Superstar Skate in collaboration with Mark Gonzales. The sneaker comes in all black leather with red accents on the laces, stitching and lining and some graphics from Mark Gonzales on the heel. The new sneaker is now available at Flauge.

adidas has just launched  a new adidas Skateboarding website. The cleanly designed site is packed with a lot of great material, including a video project called “Diagonal” featuring their European skate team and some detailed information on the launch of the new Dennis Busenitz pro model. One of our favorite parts is the animated Gonz “Shmoo” character that floats around encouraging you to register.

The latest release in adidas Skateboarding’s Summer 2009 collection consists of a new Mark Gonzalez make up in a midtop version of the popular Ciero sihouette. With a white-based colorway, the shoe features a light blue sole, red accents and original Mark Gonzalez artwork on the tongue and side panel. Coming in a mix of suede and synthetic material, the shoe is outfitted with a padded collar and extended cuff for support.

The Mark Gonzalez x adidas Skateboarding Ciero Mid is available now at CCS.

Here’s a look into the adidas Skateboarding Summer 2009 collection. The latest release consists of two Cieros – coming in white on grey and black on yellow – a royal blue Campus, and a black and gold Busenitz. Each shoe comes in a buttery suede with leather accents. As with most adidas Skateboarding releases, we’re very impressed with what is on offer this season. Available now at DQM.
