The new adidas SLVR Spring/Summer 2012 campaign, shot by Willy Vanderperre, takes inspiration from the sport of fencing. The precision and elegance of fencing is fused with pop colors for a fresh and vivid visual language.

The accuracy of the combat sport, the strict line of the uniform, are suggested through rigid compositions. Images focus on sophisticated, white tailored silhouettes which echo the fencing uniform juxtaposed with bold pop shades of yellow, red and blue. It is this fusion of tailoring and sportswear which are at the core of SLVR.

The video extends this idea whilst introducing the dynamic moves of a fencer set to a beat which is reminiscent of the sport’s rhythm.

For the SLVR A/W 11-12 T-Shirt Series seven different T-shirt graphics were designed by seven local relevant creatives from the fields of fashion and music, who have international impact. Designs were created by art direction duo PietschLim, Jorg Koch from 032C magazine, stylist and fashion director Edward Enninful, designer ZUCZUG, record label Information, Scott Bendall from La Boca and Stephen Hindman from The Electronic Filter.

Priced at 50 Euros, the t-shirts are now available from adidas Originals stores, SLVR monobrand stores and select retailers around the globe.

adidas SLVR presents their new Fall/Winter 2011 Collection Campaign, with the main inspiration being space. Print ads and a campaign film have been produced by Willy Vanderperre for adidas.

Look out for an introduction of the new line in August 2011.

adidas SLVR has updated its website for Spring/Summer 2010. The website provides insight on the collection and introduces the newly released Film to coincide with the S/S 2010 communication campaign.

Sport is everywhere, and sportswear is an element of daily life. The adidas SLVR campaign for Spring/Summer 2010 stresses this fact with its cast of world class athletes, bringing contemporary sport stars to the fore and celebrating adidas’ history of athleticism, elegance, and ingenuity.

The film zooms in on five athletes, shot off-court in a contemporary urban setting. The cast includes Croatian high jumper Blanka Vlašić, Slovakian tennis player Daniela Hantuchová, Dutch footballer Robin van Persie, and Chilean tennis player Fernando González.

The video was produced by Theo Stanley with Creative Direction by Pietschlim.

adidas opened its first adidas SLVR store during New York Fashion Week. A cocktail reception to celebrate the opening was attended by over 800 guests.

Located in Soho, the 250 square meter space reflects the values of the adidas SLVR brand, including simplicity, transparency and functionality. Designed with a clean, modern and considered aesthetic, the store presents a unifying backdrop for the collection. The unit is characterized by unique natural elements such as locally sourced wood and felt contrasted by polished materials such as glass and steel. White is the main colour used throughout the space with accents of silver metal giving it a sense of light and fluidity.

Signature elements within all the SLVR stores consist of wooden panelled flooring leading to a highlighted wall, plus specially commissioned wooden chairs displaying the seasonal patterns and colours from the collections.

Following the opening of the first stand-alone store in New York, additional SLVR stores will open in Paris, Miami, Bangkok, and Los Angeles.

We give you a first look at the adidas SLVR Spring/Summer 2009 footwear. With the introduction of this new collection, adidas introduces an interesting sportswear alternative. Clean lines, subtle colors, nice cuts and innovative looks make up the collection and also the footwear. The line-up includes both high top and low top trainers with minimal branding, only coming in black and white colorways.

The collection will be available soon at dedicated adidas SLVR flagship stores in New York and Miami, as well as a very few adidas stores around the globe. Take a look at the full collection here.

A couple of months ago we reported about the upcoming new SLVR collection by adidas. At the time we could only show one outfit and had no real clue what the direction of the new line was. Here now some more info and a video showcasing their Spring/Summer 2009 debut collection.

“The adidas SLVR label’s key message is ‘Simply Perfect’. The range shows a timeless and considered design; one that conveys a minimalist character, yet is fresh and progressive. The collection includes apparel, footwear and accessories for both men & women.

The adidas SLVR Film was shot by renowned photographer Mark Segal and art directed by Pietsch Lim. The film brings the new concept to life through strong yet effortless black and white visuals and a sound track by Say Hi to Your Mom.

The adidas SLVR label will launch globally in February 2009.” Via Selectism.
