The second round of adidas Originals B-Sides Edition sneakers is getting close. Next to the Jeremy Scott Forum Hi, this round will also include the Foot Patrol Campus 80s, first released in 2007. While the original featured snakeskin on the inner 3 Stripes, this new B-Sides edition will feature pony hair on an otherwise navy  or black suede upper.

News reached us today that long time Stussy creative director Paul Mittleman will be making a move to adidas. He has worked on many great projects at Stussy over the years, including the 25th and 30th anniversary product collaborations, including many footwear collaborations as well. We cannot wait to see the impact he will have on future creative endeavors over at adidas Originals and will of course keep you posted. (Via Twitter)

We take a closer look at the adidas Originals x Star Wars Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. After having presented the lookbook already earlier this season, we now take a closer look at the individual sneakers from the collection.

We find these type of collaborations quite difficult, because most of the time graphics on sneakers do not work very well. The shoe seems overloaded and as a result turn out to look cheap. In the case of adidas and Star Wars the results are mixed, which is already not too bad. In this season’s release you will find sneakers dedicated to a series of characters and other iconic places of the films. The Forum, Stan Smith and other iconic silhouettes from adidas get the Star Wars remix.

atmos and adidas Originals get once again together and continue working on the Superstar 80’s. Today we present the G-SNK4, a glow in the dark version of the 1980s French made Superstar sneaker. The Japanese retailer gave the sneaker a white snakeskin upper, which lights up brightly when the sun goes down. Other than the glow-in-the-dark feature, atmos plays with vintage details and the history of the iconic sneaker, which will only be apparent to the real sneaker connoisseur. A release is scheduled for end September 2011.

Today we get a first look at one of the sneakers from the next round of the adidas Originals B-Sides Projects – the Jeremy Scott Forum Hi, which originally released in 2002. The next B-Sides drop will take place on September 17th. We will of course keep you posted!

More exciting goodness has arrived from Ransom for Fall 2011. The brand has released the Dover, an athletic version of a more classic men’s shoe. A hickory canvas upper spans over the shoe. Ransom’s motif is stitched on the heel, while their branding is embossed on a tan leather tab on the tongue. The result’s pretty smart making the hickory style a perfect casual pattern for fall. These will be dropping at Ransom by adidas retailers in the upcoming weeks.

Today we witnessed something that we have not in a while. Camping, lining up, lists – all that for sneakers. Today No. 74 in Berlin released the Bape Superstar, the Undefeated Top Ten and the original colorway of the Micropacer. People traveled to Berlin from all over Europe to get their hands on a pair. Only London and Tokyo will get these, with the US entirely left out from the drop, for reasons that we do not know.

The No. 74 crew took well care of their clients, offering fresh coffee and croissants to the early crowd and campers. Furthermore they produced a poster of the Bape Superstar, that was handed out to every customer. The posters are limited to 74 pieces.

Two of the more exciting styles from the new Ransom by adidas Fall/Winter 2011 Collection are previewed today. The Crest boot comes in a wheat/oxblood colorway, featuring neoprene ankle support and rubberized bottom and waxed cotton upper.

Furthermore they present the Strata low top sneaker with a boiled wool upper and collapsible heel. Releasing as part of the ‘Persona’ Collection, “a distinct personality driven product, where we align and showcase individuals we believe to be a representative of both our vision in Ransom by adidas as well as strong, and influential figures at the top of his or her dynamic field, providing a unique story in their their own terms”, these will drop in the coming weeks.

After a small preview the other day, we can present today the official new adidas Originals 2011 campaign commercial, entitled ‘All Originals, Iconics’.

The commercial features Snoop Dogg, Dwight Howard, Josh Smith, Big Sean, Jeremy Scott and Sky Ferreira all rocking the latest from the adidas Originals collection. Enjoy!
