Entering it’s 7th season, the Spring 2010 Admiral from DC Life was inspired by colors experienced during a Western Americana road trip. DC Life had a strong showing at Project LV. Seen above are the Holiday 2010 Admiral Sport sneakers in three clean nubuck and leather color ups. Striped linings keep things moving forward while throwback DC blue and white accents and “griptape” tongue logos hold onto a bit of history. Look for these to receive the red carpet treament near the end of the year.

Admiral was established in 1914 as the official outfitter of the British Royal Navy, so it’s only fitting that they visit the Peacoat-as-sneaker concept. Seen earlier this year with a pack of Vans Chukkas, Admiral takes it a step further by accenting the melton wool upper with a full 8-button double-breasted closure. To boot, the brand’s logo is even the insignia of a Navy Admiral. The two colors pictured are now in at ripe.

Following the DC Life Holiday 2009 preview from last week, here’s a look into the forthcoming Hi-Visibility or Lo-Visibility Pack. The Admiral TX and Xander TX are both treated to durable ballistic nylon uppers in a choice of fluorescent lime or all black. “Be noticed. Or not.” Available soon at select DC Life accounts.

Admiral now also comes with their interpretation of the classic boat shoe, taking a very similar approach as Converse. The color combinations and choice of material is perfect, mixing striped fabrics with chambray on the upper. With the pair of chinos or shorts, these are perfect for the summer. There seems a minor resurgence of British sports brands these days. Here, we see Admiral, a company that started making Navel Uniforms and developed into a sportswear outfit teaming with White Mountaineering of Japan on a sneaker. The product is mainly devised by White Mountaineering, from the materials to the manufacture. The process involves brushing a glass paste over the resined leather. Brown and off white are the chosen colors. (via Star-J).

DC introduces some new styles as part of their Life Collection, a lifestyle range, less skate centric, which has been around for 7 years already, when also a bit under the radar.
