Sneaker brand Feiyue and French fashion house agnès b. have teamed up on two sneakers for Spring 2012. Staying true to both brands, they present a simple, comfortable, yet easy to wear sneaker for every day wear. Featuring a mix of canvas and suede on the upper, the sneaker will release in two colorways and will retail for 66 USD at agnès b. stores in the US, starting February 2012.

Selectism checked in with Fashionisto for their thoughts on the agnès b Spring/Summer 2012 collection, which happens to include OBEY imagery. ”Cultivating a cheeky mix of inspirations, the latest collection from agnès b chronicles the experience of growing up and upgrading to the inevitable wardrobe of cherished suiting pieces. By now some of you should already have heard about the new New Howard Street store opening of French fashion designer agnès b. The new “galerie boutique” will clearly reflect the designer’s love for modern art.

“To celebrate her new flagship, “Agnès has asked many friends and artists to create a design for her ongoing Artist T-Shirt line. Harmony Korine, Ryan McGinness, Jose Parla, Bast, Ryan McGinley and Jonas Mekas are just some of the artists who have contributed.”

Selectism has a look at the latest issue of Agnes b’s in house publication Point d’ironie. “As we have mentioned previously, Printed in large format, Point d’ironie is published six times per year and distributed through agnès b stores worldwide. It is half magazine and half poster form. McGinley’s photograpy work is the focus of issue #49 which feature a mix of old and new photography placed on the page to represent how they would be seen in a gallery setting. Visit your local Agnes b. shop and pick up a copy sometime around mid December.”

Paris-based boutique agnes b. has collaborated with Toy2R to release a holiday collection of Qee Bears. These five bears are unique and include a key chain attachment. Available at the nine agnes b. locations across the globe in Singapore, Taiwan, France, Hong Kong, China, USA, Japan, Netherlands and the UK.

An exciting collaboration comes from French high fashion house agnes B. and Seiko. Together they worked on a black watch. It looks like they also used some ceramic on the strap. Otherwise some details on the dial are red and some purple details are placed on the transparent back cover. Via Openers.

DC is pleased to announce its partnership with legendary French designer agnès b. Together the two brands have created the latest footwear project for DC’s Double Label™ series and will collaborate on the FORWARD 3 art exhibit. Launching in Paris at the Agnes b. shop March 5-18, 2009, the exhibit will then travel to New York for its US premiere at the Agnes b. Soho shop, March 31 –April 14th, 2009.

Based from the DC low top Dress Sneaker, the DC x agnès b. Double Label™ shoe was designed in three colorways of blue, sesame and black and features agnès b.’s distinctive signature across the tongue. The premium leather shoe maintains distinctive touches of DC skate heritage by including DC’s Pill Pattern™ outsole while maintaining a sophisticated sneaker silhouette. Less that 1500 of the shoes will be produced and will be available exclusively at agnès b. retail stores and select sneaker boutiques worldwide.

To celebrate the DC x agnès b. Double Label™, the two brands will present FORWARD 3, a graphic design exhibit. FORWARD developed two years ago from a partnership between DC and leading French art magazine REDUX as a showcase of select graphic artists personal works. DC had supported several REDUX art shows since 2005, including a special French artists’ sneaker customization exhibition held in Paris. The show and shoes will launch March 5, 2009, during Paris Fashion Week at the agnès b. Rue Du Jour historical shop before traveling to New York for the US opening March 31st, 2009.

For FORWARD 3, French artists will showcase their personal works, along with custom works that showcase their interpretation of “I Love New York.” Artists for FORWARD 3 include, 123 Klan, Guillaume Abdi, Aurèle, Dada, Delarocca, Dirtlab, Dyane de Sérigny, Erwan & Sophie, Jerk4, Jérôme Molar, Stéphane Kiehl, Koa, Koralie, Luis, Mega, Jean Nipon, Osmoze, Pierre La Police, Prunelle, Spoe, Tabas, Nicolas Thomas, Rachel Cazadamont@H5, Sophie Toporkoff, Supakitch, Amandine Urruty, and Greg Vezon.

After SSUR, DC Shoes has a really interesting new partner for the next artist project collaboration in the pipeline – French luxury brand agnes b. Today we cannot show you any images of the sneakers yet, but we can inform you about the accompanying art show that will be taking place in Paris.

The agnes b. stores in Paris and New York will be hosting the Forward3 art show to celebrate the double label collaboration.

Around 6 times per year, agnès b. and Hans-Ulrich Obrist give carte blanche to an artist to appropriate the space of the paper. An 8-page tabloid format, identical for each artist. Repetition and difference. 100,000 to 300,000 copies are available free of charge around the world (in bookshops, museums, galleries, schools, cafés, etc.), as well as in all of the agnès b. locations (France, Europe, USA, Asia). They call Point d’ironie a hybrid periodical – half magazine, half poster.

Robert Crumb was the latest artist to be invited to work on issue 45 of Point d’ironie. It comes in all black/white and features lots of great comic works by the artist. Via Selectism.
