Eddie Cruz and UNDFTD have held a strong position in street culture on the West Coast. Having worked with Nike in the past, the two have fused together their diverse background’s to rework the iconic Air Force 1. This new shoe follows the ‘Artist Series’ collection that was auctioned for charity in July, and uses the LIVESTRONG foundation as a basis for its’ design.

For those who remember, there is a comparable feel to the Nike x UNDFTD Air Force 1, released in 2006. Incorporating the pallet of colors of black and yellow which are so well associated with the LIVESTRONG and the fight against cancer. More notable facet’s of design which can refer to the release of 2006 are the ‘Shemagh’ textile used on the front half of the sneaker as well as the ‘ONYABIKEKID’ slogan, which replaces the ‘ONYAFEETKID’, a theme that strongly refers to the origin of UNDFTD. The shoe combines the numerous references to create a unique background to its design.

The LIVESTRONG UNDFTD Air Force 1 will be available at select Nike Sportswear retailers on Dec. 4th, 2009.

The Doernbecher Freestyle Collection is a continuing collaborative effort between Nike and the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, whereby patients are invited to design their own piece of footwear. This year’s collection features designs by Colin Callsen, Bradley Bowlby, Molly Martin, Anna Finley, Jordan Dark and Makayla Hansen over Jordan 6 Retro, Zoom Paul Rodriguez 3, Air Force 1 ‘07 LE, Air Zenyth, Dunk HI Skinny and Shox NZ silhouettes. Drops November 14th at Nike Sportswear 21M in NYC, with all proceeds going to benefit programs at Doernbecher.

Once again Undefeated worked with Nike as part of the Livestrong initiative. This time they chose the Air Force 1. They added their shemagh pattern to the upper crossing over the signature Livestrong yellow towards the back of the sneaker. The Swoosh comes in black on the outside and Livestrong yellow on the inside. Furthermore the sneaker features a complete leather lining, as well as a leather covered mid-sole. Look out for a released at Qubic on Friday, November 13th.

Complex continues their Best Of series that started this year with sneakers and t-shirts. Now they worked with DJ Clark Kent on his personal top 50 Air Force 1s. As you should all know the DJ and producer is a huge AF1 collector. Check out his choices here.

We take a quick look at some upcoming Nike Sportswear Quickstrike releases. Expect in the coming weeks the Air Macropus Lite and Air Baked Mid in a Mexican Blanket inspired version. Also Nike presents for women the Belts Pack, which consists of the Terminator Hi Perf and the Terminator Hi Belt Premium. Both make use of metal accents and premium leathers, with black dominating on the uppers. Furthermore a Womens Air Force 1 Hi Supreme will be released in a black/gold colorway. Two solid new Air Force 1’s are releasing from the Nike Holiday 2009 Collection. The Air Force 1 Mid comes in olive/khaki and the Air Force 1 Low comes in grey/shadow. We especially like the khaki AF1 Mid, a perfect Fall sneaker. Both sneakers will be released in December 2009.

Eddie Cruz did not only design the purple Air Force 1 Low, but he also worked on this Nike Air Force 1 High Supreme as part of the East vs. West Rivalry Collection.

“Unlike the low cut model, the Highs used a dark base to contrast each other. The shoe features a black base with navy scale-like material on the upper, black patent leather swoosh, obsidian patent leather straps and a black inside-out leather mid-sole. Same as the low cut model, the outsole is also made of 0.44 sticky rubber for better performance under bad condition.”

The Eddie Cruz x Nike Sportswear Air Force 1 High Supreme Blue Scale is now available from the Kix-Files online store.

After showing you a while back the silver version of the sneaker, we can give you a detailed look at the white/orange version of the Nike x Futura Air Force 1. The sneaker comes with leather and perforated leather on the upper, an orange outer sole and will be released at House of Hoops in January 2010.

Coming as part of the Nike Halloween 2009 releases is the Air Force 1 “Savage Beast”. The premium sneaker features a horse hair upper with further canvas details on the Swoosh and heel. On the heel “Savage Beast” is embroidered with matching font details on the lace locks. Look out for a release soon.

From the Tennis Pack comes the Nike Air Force 1 White Canvas. The sneaker comes with a white canvas upper, yellow tongue and colorful print details on the heel. Overall a very clean looking sneaker. since its white canvas we suggest that you either get it right away and wear it while the weather is still good, or store them until Spring, because these will get dirty quick. The sneaker is now available from Kix-Files.
