highsnobiety - air jordan olympic 1
The Air Jordan 1 has seen its share of special makeups the last few months. For the Olympics, the show gets a splash of navy, red and silver, much like the VII and VI before. Side embroidery reminds there is no "I" in TEAM. Heads up from Bounce Mag

Nike Air Jordan Fusion 5 Lo

nike air jordan fusion 5 lo - highsnobiety
The Air Jordan Fusion models have proven to be pretty successful. Now Nike presents the Air Jordan Fusion 5 Lo. The sneaker comes in a black/varsity red colorway and features a “Is It The Shoes?” all-over print. We are not big fans of this particular colorway, but the Fusion Lo in good colors can look nice, so we are hoping there is more to come!

Shkuze has some sizes in stock now. The general release will follow some time in May. Check out more pictures after the jump.

Jordan Goes Considered

RTEmagicC jordan considered.jpg Jordan Goes Considered
Jeff Staple has put up a nice post to his blog, giving some background on how the Nike Considered line was started and how the original shoe of the line evolved. Staple Design was also involved in the project from the start. Finally he connects the dots between the Considered line and the new Air Jordan XXIII’s, that also take a much more environmentally friendly approach then previous models in the Jordan collection.
It is nice seeing how a small project evolves and a concept that has been developed in that project, that was first intended for a small audience, is then pushed into bigger projects with much bigger audiences. Kind of shows that it is all worth it in the end. Jeff also points out an interesting article on the subject in Fortune Magazine.
Make sure to read it!

To celebrate the 23rd generation of Air Jordan, Nike has made a special leather basketball. Not only have they used premium aged leather on the ball, it also features lots of details embossed and printed on it, telling the Michael Jordan story. Pics via Kenlu.
There is no set release date so far, but this will definitely become a hard to find collectors item. Many more pictures after the jump.

Nike AF1 x Air Jordan 5

RTEmagicC af1 jordan 1.jpg Nike AF1 x Air Jordan 5
Here we have already the second Nike Air Force 1 x Jordan fusion and this time the mixed in the Air Jordan 5. With a retro colorway, mixed outer sole, and all other attributes of the original Air Jordan 5, this AF1 is the perfect translation. We kind of like the outcome, certainly more than the first remix of the Air Jordan 12’s. Pics via BKRW.
Expect these to drop Spring 2008! More pictures after the jump.
