After making a strong debut at colette with the Marcaron “cooklette” series, the Air Royal Mid VT just keeps coming. Take, for example, the two new colorways that arrived today at Nike Sportswear’s 21 Mercer, including the above Sport Red (the second is the Violet Pop make up that we showed you earlier this week.)

Yet another color in the cake-like Nike Air Royal Mid VT has landed. Just in at NSW 21 Mercer is the above Cool Mint color up (alongside the previously featured White and Black.)

Following the Macaron Air Royals, Nike has released a set of similarly monochromatic Air Royal Mid VTs. Constructed of a PU-like material, the upper takes on a 3D appearance, almost resembling a toy. Available March 25th (at LTD anyways) in violet (pictured) or white.

For Spring 2010, the Nike Air Royal Mid comes in a strong two-tone cool grey color combination. “Textile” uppers give it a smooth finish, while deep orange accents on the heel tab and stitching add a pop of color. Available now from Caliroots.

Nike Sportswear made some noise last month with the hiking boot inspired Air Royal Mid Quickstrike release. This month, the Air Royal Mid is featured in a more “high-fashion” look with heavy doses of black patent leather offset by a black suede toe area. Other features include a perforated Swoosh, light grey mid-sole, black laces and tonal tongue patch. The patent leather may be a bit much for some, but a solid release nonetheless. Frank The Butcher recently attended a Nike retailer event in Las Vegas and had the opportunity to check out some of the more exciting upcoming Quickstrike sneaker releases for Holiday 2009. Once again Nike has some interesting stuff coming up and we are glad we can give you a first look today. The preview includes

• Day of The Dead Pack – comes with a Dunk Lo, Air Max 90 and Dunk Hi
• Halloween Air Force 1 2009 in a complete (including the mid-sole) pony hair look
• Nike Dynasty Hi with studded ankle strap and lots of premium materials and details
• Nike Air Royal Mid in a burgundy colorway with hiker boot lacing
