This week Alife will be releasing their new Holiday 2011 footwear collection. Consisting of high top, mid top and low top styles the Alife sneakers have taken a rather subtle route these past years and have become much more contemporary compared to the beginnings of the brand. Premium leathers are featured on the uppers with minimal branding. Most styles are heavily inspired by iconic sneaker silhouettes, with Alife adding a bit of their own flavor to it.

After Patta, the Alife Rivington Club gets together with Warrior Footwear. Working on the Classic low top, Alife added a hand-painted upper and woven logo tag to the canvas sneaker. As such, no two sneakers are the same. A release is scheduled for this coming Saturday, August 13th, with each pair going for 50 USD.

In our latest feature, we catch up with Rob Cristofaro and Arnaud Delecolle of ALIFE to speak about their Private Property furniture collection, produced by UHURU. Kathy Grayson of The Hole sums up the initiative in the following quote:

This is not the cold customization of Koons making BMWs and Murakami making Louis Vuitton bags, where “marketing art” merges with culture. This is taking something that makes the public private (graffiti) and making it into an object that can be privately owned. It’s a morsel of design and crime: if design is the total control of your environment to make aesthetic decisions and refine your visual environment, crime is the anarchy that fucks that all up.

American label ALIFE offers a look into their Summer 2011 collection which will be available tomorrow, June 10th at all ALIFE flagship shops. Overall the approach is classic American sportswear with the usual clean, yet bold, ALIFE aesthetic. They’ve got you covered from head to toe with new caps, tops, bottoms and footwear. Have a look.

For Spring/Summer 2011, Alife releases a new MOC shoe with a thick, logo-embossed gum sole, tie detailing and black suede/leather upper. The shoe also features deodorizing cork insoles.

Alife presents their new range of Summer 2011 sneakers. The brand has worked hard on their footwear offering these last couple of years, adapting to the new market needs. The outcome is a more refined and clean collection of styles, that span over both the athletic and more fashionable markets. The brand continues to be innovative in terms of materials, fusing new and old with interesting looks as a result.

Alife presents three new colorways of their low top Moc sneaker for Summer 2011. The slip-on sneaker comes in three suede options this season, featuring a cork footbed with an embossed Alife logo. Primitive has the sneakers in stock now.

Alife and Hidden Champion magazine from Japan once again get together and present the Special Book Volume 3, entitled “ALIFE SAVES”. The issue is dedicated to the terrible happenings in Japan and as such showcases art, fashion, lifestyle and the prosperous life in the city through to spread the message of “protecting the good life”.

Next to the Alife Spring/Summer 2011 apparel and footwear collections, the magazine is filled with photography by Alife Tokyo and Alife New York. It will be handed out free, starting April 28th. Furthermore they have produced “Alife Saves” posters and t-shirts. The t-shirt will be sold in all Alife stores around the globe to support Japan in this difficult time.

From the Alife Spring/Summer 2011 Footwear Collection we present the Everybody High Official. The high top sneaker comes in three canvas colorways with suede accents on the heel and logo print on the side-panels. The sneaker is now in stock at Flauge.
