With much anticipation we are awaiting the upcoming issue of Arkitip magazine, which is entirely dedicated to Shepard Fairey. The official release party is taking place on July 19th in collaboration with Alife and therefore the brands have now put up a large scale billboard on top of the Alife LA store, promoting the event. Make sure to check it out up close, should you be in the area!

On June 11, 2009 New York City’s Alife is coming full circle to where they began as a brand with the grand opening of a new gallery space called Alife Presents. This space will serve as the home to an art collective exhibiting the best and the brightest in the arts, both visual and non. The inaugural exhibit, titled Reckless Endangerment, will showcase new works from photographer/filmmaker Kai Regan. On June 19, 2009 Alife Presents takes the show on the road to Los Angeles where they will be presenting Shepard Fairy at Alife LA in conjunction with the launch of the latest issue of Arkitip magazine.

ALIFE PRESENTS is located at 157 Rivington St, NYC, directly across from the ALIFE and ALIFE RIVINGTON CLUB (A.R.C.) shops, and adjacent to the recently opened A.R.C. SPORTS store.

Alife presents their latest goods. The release consists of button down shirts, lightweight cotton sweaters, as well as a large range of New Era Caps. Among the New Era caps is also a collaboration with Krink. Otherwise the caps stick to te usual Alife formula – basic and solid at the same time. The shirts are a first for the New York brand and they come in two colorways. Overall a very nice and solid range of new goods are coming to Alife stores and are also already available online.

More styles from the Alife Summer 2009 Footwear collection have been released. The Everybody High carries on the Afghan theme from last season and comes in several colorways with suede uppers. The Chukka comes in a bi-tonal colorway this season. The Alife Summer 2009 Footwear is now available from Tobi.

The Alife Public Outrage Canvas comes as part of the Summer 2009 collection in three new colorways – purple, orange and green. The Alife logo is featured prominently on the heel. The sneakers are now available from Mita.

The Alife Cup Court low top leather sneaker comes for Summer 2009 in a new look. The pack features three colorways of the casual sneaker, all coming with a tiger stripe pattern on the upper in green, red and purple. The Alife logo is embossed into the shoe. The sneaker is now available from Flauge.

As part of the Alife Summer 2009 footwear collection, the Everybody Mid comes in a nylon version with Polka Dot accents. By now the use of nylon and polka dots on sneakers is not a new concept, nevertheless we like the outcome of the pack a lot. The more subtle use of the polka dots on the mid-sole and the laces looks nice and the colorways in the pack are strong as well – black, purple and grey. The pack is now available at Flauge.

We have seen the Everybody High Cross design already earlier this Spring/Summer 2009 season on more colorful nylon options. For Summer 2009 Alife presents the sneaker in more subtle canvas versions. The Everybody High comes in white, black an grey canvas, and features the Alife cross design on the side-panels, as well as on the tongue. All three colorways are now available at Mita.

From the Alife Summer 2009 Footwear collection we present you new colorways of the Shell Toe and the Chaser. The Shell Toe skate inspired high top comes in a tonal red colorway, with a suede upper and rubber shell toe. The Chaser running shoe comes in a tonal yellow colorway, featuring suede and mesh on the upper. Both are now available at Caliroots.

Alife Rivington Club (A.R.C.) gives us a first teaser of their upcoming collaborative sneaker project with Fila. So far one does not see too much, but it seems like three colorways of the sneaker will be coming out, witht the A.R.C. logo tag featured on the tongue. The Alife Rivington Club x Fila sneakers will be coming out in June.
