Not for the first time Japanese labels Ambush and Mackdaddy have teamed up. For Holiday 2011 the two present new versions of the successful POW collection by Ambush. This time Mackdaddy chose to give the rings and pendants a velour wrapping. Both the rings and pendants come in several colorways and should be coming to stores now.

Tokyo based jewelry brand Ambush, founded by Verbal and Yoon, presents its newest collection. Entitled ‘Screw It’, Ambush presents a collection of jewelry with screw details. The line includes bracelets, necklaces, cufflinks, belts, hats and more. A release of the collection is scheduled for December 2011 in very limited quantities.

AMBUSH Design from Tokyo once again teams up with boutique Revive. Based on their popular ‘POW!’ series, Revive added zebra, leopard and snakeskin finishes to the chains. Bape previews first items from their upcoming Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. On preview are clothing and shoes from the main A Bathing Ape line. Also they preview shoes, accessories and some first clothing from URSUS Bape and some nice collaborative pieces from G-Shock and Ambush. The collection looks very clean and certainly features some interesting items that we look forward to.

Georg Jensen and AMBUSH are the latest to join a long list of fashionable people who have created product in support of Japan. Available May 14, 2011 at retailers such as 10 corso como (Milan), Dover Street Market (London), and Georg Jensen (Hong Kong) the pendant works with the theme “a young heart turns back the hands of time.” Proceeds go towards the Japanese Red Cross. Verbal and Yoon of AMBUSH have collaborated with Mattel’s Ken for his 50th Anniversary to create the CHOGO-Ken doll – the original 1960s Ken encased in a robot shell, featuring AMBUSH’s signature POW! as one of his fists.

Produced in a limited edition of 25, each CHOGO-Ken by AMBUSH® comes in its own custom-made box, featuring VERBAL and YOON’s original design drawing, and launches exclusively at colette in Paris on Monday 7 March 2011. The following day they will be DJing at Ken®’s 50th anniversary celebration, taking place in-store 3-5pm, when their good friend Carri Munden also launches Cassette Playa x Ken® Collection. Guests will also be able to view an exhibition of Ken® archive dolls spanning the past 6 decades.

Ambush and Bape continue their collaboration into Spring 2011. We take a first look at the Creeepsta sneakers that the two brands had initially developed for their first collaboration collection and are bringing back next season in a series of colorways. For Spring 2011 they present the sneaker in MA-1 Black nylon, MA-1 Green nylon, 3-tone suede, Silver Bullet, Copper Bullet and Solid Black leather all with original AMBUSH® melting buckle.

The other day we presented the “Detroit” Collection that Dr. Romanelli developed for Revive. The boutique stays busy and presents today their work with Japanese jewelry brand Ambush by Verbal and Yoon. The capsule jewelry collection consists of the popular POW chain and POW ring, both coming in a camouflage pattern, marking the first time that the pieces feature multiple colors. Each piece has a slightly different pattern, making them all unique pieces. Coming in very limited quantities, they are now available from Revive.

After a quick first look at the upcoming collaboration between Ambush and Cassette Playa for Spring/Summer 2011, we can already showcase the lookbook which was produced for the capsule collection. The lookbook does a good job in showcasing the various jewelry from the collaboration, also it highlights some of the clothing pieces that complement the jewelry. Look out for a release of the collection early next year.

Following an initial announcement, Parisian photographer Karl Hab caught a peek at a sample version of Hype Means Nothing’s collaborative t-shirt with Ambush.
