The much anticipated Visvim Fall/Winter 2008 collection, ”the Future Relationship Between Materials and Technologies in Product Fundamentalism vol.2”, will be released in Japan this weekend.
Hiroki Nakamura gives us today a preview of what there is to come and presents the new Americana Deck Shoes. Building up on the Folk collection, the new Visvim line seems to continue using the thinner sole construction, something that we welcomed very much. Also the brand continues to explore new and interesting materials.
"This season we’ve continued our exploration of the various relationships between different materials and different "technologies." One of the products that we’re launching this weekend is the Americana Deck, which is made using leather from Horween, a 100 year old traditional American tannery."
You can be sure that many more interesting items will be coming this season from Visvim. We will keep you posted.

Two interesting new releases out of the Adidas Flavours Of The World collection are about to hit stores.
The Americana comes in a black/gold colorway and references the Japanese Sanja Matsuri festival. The festival is held on every 3rd weekend of May at the Asakusa Shrine in Japan. Further details on the sneaker can be found on the heel and on the tongue.
A new ZX800 will also be released. It references the Festival Folclorico Parintins from South America. The festival takes place on 3 days in June and celebrates a local legend about a resurrected ox, which is featured on the shoe.
Expect both sneakers to be soon available at Hanon.

Adidas has released their limited edition Animal Pack and it has landed at Sold Out. It consists of an Americana Mid Lux and an Official (black Stan Smith). The Americana Mid Lux comes with an embossed horse, as well as premium leathers and pony hair accents. The Official comes with an embossed Stingray and also stingray inspired leather. In terms of colors the sneakers stay very subtle and are all black.

Yesterday we showed you first pics of the Reptile Pack as part of the Adidas Consortium Collection and today we can show you some nicer and more detailed pics of the two sneaker that are part of it.

The reptile pack is the continuation of their successful snake inspired pack from couple seasons ago. With the Varan and the Gator they have a special and extraordinary material mix and color match up. Both the Americana Hi and Gazelle OP look great and are something to look out for!
