From the previews of the Amongst Friends Spring 2009 Caps and Accessories, you might already have noticed the heavy golf influence on the new collection. That becomes only more apparent in the clothing line-up of the season. From embroidered chinos, oxford pants, to shirts and a large line-up of polos, the entire collection screams “golf”. We like the classic inspiration and nice updates to the pieces, mostly with well thought out details.

After previewing the Amongst Friends Spring 2009 New Eras the other day, we show you today their line-up of accessories. The brand continues to product belts in a series of designs this season. Just like the rest of the collection, the accessories are also heavily influenced by the golf sport. Hand towels, golf balls and tees are part of the collection.

We start previewing the new Amongst Friends Spring 2009 Collection, that will be released this coming weekend. First we give you a look at the caps of the collection.

Continuing to build out this section of the collection, Amongst Friends offers in their Spring line New Era caps, 5-panel caps and also added two hunting caps. In terms of design they keep it classic, but not boring at all. The theme of the collection evolves around the golf sport, which is clearly reflected in some of the head wear as well. Once again Amongst Friends perfectly manages the thin line between classic, yet fresh and exciting.

NYC brand Amongst Friends has offered ever since their very first season strong line-ups of belts. Most streetwear brands offer the occasional belt, which is usually a very standard piece with the logo slapped onto the buckle.

Amongst Friends took it to the next level and offers once again as part of their Holiday 2008 collection a good selection of quality belts, coming in a variety of colorways. Expect these to become available in the following weeks.

After presenting you the Amongst Friends Fall 2008 New Era caps this morning, we give you a look at their collection today.

The brand has nicely established itself and takes an interesting direction in our mind. We would almost like to call it the Ralph Lauren of streetwear. What we mean by that, is that the brand sticks to classic silhouettes and pieces, adding minimal branding to it and thus making the entire collection very wearable. No piece is over-designed, and rather sticks out with smart details. The longsleeve polo shirts come with a patch logo on the chest and polka dot fabric on the collar and button line. Crewneck sweaters and t-shirts feature a diamond pattern and lots of pieces (sweaters, caps and belts) are nicely matched, making it easy to combine several pieces in the collection.

We like the way Amongst Friends is building the line from season to season and think they are an interesting brand in the market, somebody to look out for. They show once again that pieces that are overall simple, can still stick out and be noticed.

Amongst Friends has aside from their collection, produced from the beginning strong sets of New Era caps. That is also no different this Fall season. The first ones have landed at Hall Of Fame. 

There is the Dots pack, consisting of a blue and red New Era cap, both featuring an all-over polka dot design. Furthermore there is the True White New Era cap, which come in white with a classic logo 3D embroidery on the front.

New Eras… how many have we seen in the last couple of years? The 5950 has been incorporated into almost every streetwear collection in recent years. We saw the rise of the cap in fashion and in the beginning colors were getting crazier every season and applications as well. Almost to the point were it got ridiculous and we got sick of seeing them.
Now it almost seems like we are in the next generation of New Era caps. New (nice) materials and patterns are being used on the caps and it is not anymore about the biggest embroidery or the craziest colors. Brands such as Supreme, Huf, and Amongst Friends with this latest series show us how its done right and are being innovative again on the 5950, while not going over the top.

First pieces of the Amongst Friends Summer ‘08 Collection are getting into stores. In4mation got in the new range of t-shirts of the brand. This is only the second season from Amongst Friends and they have already nicely established themselves.

As part of their Fall 2008 collection, Amongst Friends got together with Danish label Force Of Nature. The rather young label released their first collection last season.
The two got together for one design, which will be coming in two colorways.  The design is a rework of an old German woodcut dating back to the 15th century, dealing with the great issue of death, here with a more medical feel.
F.O.N.s mission is to cultivate the aesthetic and the Scandinavian approach to design in an unconventionel way, and often with set-off in acknowlegement of natures presence and strengh even in modern day life. Definitely a label to watch.

Amongst Friends is a new brand that launched its first collection this year. We presented it to you not very long ago. It’s a great addition to the market, as they take an overall more mature approach and mix graphic t-shirts with strong cut & sew items. The graphics are clearly different from any other brand out there, which is really refreshing.
The same is true for their just released New Era caps. Two caps have been released featuring a “Amongst Friends Monkey” embroidery on the front panels. More details can be found under the brim as well.
