After giving you an extensive preview yesterday of the adidas Originals By Originals collection designed by Alyasha Owerka-Moore, focussing on Americana inspired apparel and footwear, we give you today a first exclusive look at the capsule collection that Kazuki of Fragment Design put together.

Completely different from both the Alyasha and the Jeremy Scott collection, the Japanese designer concentrated on adding technical features and materials to the apparel and the footwear, which overall keeps a very subtle and understated look. Exactly what we would have expected.

“Kazuki successfully brings highly technical and modern influences to a stylized, very wearable streetwear collection. The styles incorporate elements such as waterproof zippers, bonding and taping seamlessly into the design. Footwear highlights call out the KBall Basketball sihouettes that come in exclusive materials.

“The styling of my collection suits me and hopefully the audience that my designs appeal to. I would really like to thank all my friends for their support and inspiration but most importantly I would like to thank adidas for having the vision to give me, a freelance designer, a chance to work on a project like this,” Kazuki comments on the new partnership.”

The collection by Kazuki will be released along with the other adidas Originals By Originals collections in February 2009 at selected retailers. In Scandinavia Caliroots is the one to keep an eye on.

After first giving you a preview of the footwear, we now show you the apparel and accessories of the Nike Sportswear Spring/Summer 2009 collection. Nike ACG is celebrating its 20th anniversary next year and that was also the main inspiration of the new collection.

Taking inspiration from its sports history, Nike Sportswear looked at its outdoor product line as an inspiration source for Spring Summer ‘09. Drawing further inspiration from the colors and materials of outdoor obsession The Sportswear Design Team connected to the roots of ACG, using a palette of bright colors, elemental graphics and new materials.

Staying true to the Nike Sportswear legacy calls for a continual remixing of the eight icons that the Sportswear lineage is built upon in celebration of the pinnacle in performance design for both footwear and apparel. The Air Force 1, the Windrunner, AW 77 Hoody, the Nike Dunk, Air Max 90, Eugene Track Jacket, the Cortez and Nike Sportswear Tee continue as icons of infinite inspiration that guide the Sportswear line and its assortments.

Of the Iconic 8, the Cortez and the Eugene Track Jacket arose as the two symbolic icons that embody what the 2009 Spring/Summer collection is all about.

After recently giving you a detailed look at the adidas Originals by Originals Alyasha collection, we show you today the lookbook of the Kazuki (Fragment Design) collection. Kazuki took a much more technical approach and presents some solid apparel and footwear in his collection.

After showing you the Nike SB November footwear line-up last week, we show you today some selected pieces from their November apparel releases. A new fitted cap will be released in blue and black, featuring a classic SB 3D embroidery on the front and a striped pattern along the panels. The same striped design is also featured on the matching hoodies, which also come in two colors.

We present you the new releases for November by Nike Snowboarding. The Zoom Force 1 boot comes in a new beige/khaki colorway with safari print. Matching the boots they present some new apparel, consisting of new pants and a new jacket, both also featuring the safari print. Since the safari print comes tonal, the outfit is stays pretty subtle.

As reported by us last week, the Original Fake/Kaws x Nike Air Max pack would be accompanied by some apparel. It seems like the apparel only released in Japan, but we cannot confirm that. The Air Max pack dropped over the weekend and therefore we can also finally give you some detailed images of the split windrunner and the t-shirt that released along with the sneakers.

The split windrunner comes in black with neon yellow accents and mesh lining. The upper part features the Kaws cross eye design. The t-shirt also comes in black and features neon yellow stitching. The Nike logo is featured on one sleeve, the cross eye design by Kaws on the other sleeve. The Air Max 90 out of the pack is printed on the front and back of the t-shirt. For Spring/Summer 2009 adidas has a lot of interesting projects aligned. One of them, the Jeremy Scott collection, we have already presented extensively. Here we give you a first look at the collaboration collection with Italian scooter maker Vespa.

Inspired by the 50s and 60s, adidas presents a sneaker and apparel collection. The stand-out piece in the collection will be the Vespa Gran Lusso sneaker, heavily influenced by the scooter brand and its history.

Nike Sportswear took off this past summer along with the Olympic Games in Beijing. Since then we have already seen a strong line-up of apparel and sneaker, as well as some outstanding events around the globe, including the first flagship store opening on Mercer Street in New York City.

Here we give you a preview at the upcoming Nike Sportswear Holiday 2008 apparel collection. The brand presents a nice line-up of jackets, coming both colorful and in more subtle colors. Based on Nike classics, such as the windrunner, Nike Sportswear manages nicely to develop new styles on top of that.

Let’s face it, before Nike Sportswear hardly anybody was wearing Nike apparel outside sports and maybe aside from their windrunner jackets. With Nike Sportswear they are successfully changing that.

We have been waiting for it ever since rumors started coming around last year. This season Nike is finally introducing their own snowboarding brand – Nike Snowboarding. Applying the same principals to snowboarding that have made them successful in the skateboarding world in recent years, Nike introduces the Zoom Force 1 Boot in a variety of color and material options for both men and women. Along the boots they also introduce apparel, for the moment consisting of pants and jackets. Let’s see if we will eventually also be seeing hard goods from them.

The launch is being celebrated with a collaboration with artist Stash. He designed a Zoom Force 1 boot and matching jacket, both featuring the iconic spray can cap design by the artist.

Not long ago we gave you a first look at the upcoming collaboration of Boston’s Bodega and Saucony. The store worked on three different colorways of the Courageous TR and also made some matching apparel.
"Built on a revamped Courageous TR silhouette, the graphics and matching apparel were inspired by regional high school uniforms. Updates include reflective 3M, ballistic nylon and premium leathers in colours which transition from morning to night, reflecting the punishing training regime of long distance runners."
