Aprix Season 2

20 August 2008, 20.45 | Posted in Shoes, Sneakers | No comments »

highsnobiety - Aprix Season 2
A while ago we presented you the first shoes to come from Aprix. Today we give you an exclusive first look at the second season to come from the brand.
The second season for Aprix brings two new styles in addition to the original APR-001 Boating classic. The APR-002 Beach and APR-003 Deck shoe continue the theme of classic simplicity. The APR-002 is the first leather shoe for Aprix available in black, maroon, and sea green. The APR-003 is a traditional deck shoe available in Black, Blue or Red Cotton Oxford and retains the boat deck friendly gum rubber razor cut sole.
After the jump a couple of more images of the new Aprix styles.

Aprix Finally Releases

23 January 2008, 13.17 | Posted in Shoes | No comments »

RTEmagicC aprix 1.jpg Aprix Finally Releases
A few months ago we first reported about the new brand Aprix, an interesting venture into the shoe market. Founded by Brendon Babenzien, Creative Director of Supreme NYC and Michael Power, Writer/Director, Aprix takes a different route than most other new sneaker/shoe companies out there.
Aprix is based around trivial pursuits.  Sailing, racing, and in the future an overall casual look will drive the future designs. Here you see their first model, which is mostly made up of cotton, suede and a gum sole. You can definitely see the sailing background in the design. The shoe is not loud, does not jump into your eyes right away, but it is solid, nice and fits pretty much anything one could ever wear.
The release is just around the corner. Shoes are shipping to retailers right now. For now we can only tell you that Nom de Guerre NYC and Beams Japan will be among the first retailers to carry the shoes. In this first release their classic canvas/suede shoe will be coming in three colorways.
Check out more pictures after the jump.
