The ever popular Gel Lyte 3 returns from Asics for Spring 2010 as part of the leather pack. The pack consists of a brown and a black colorway with the complete upper, including the logo stripes, made of leather. The pack is now up for pre-order at Crooked Tongues.

The Asics GT-II running shoe comes for Spring 2010 in two new colorways. One of them comes in an all purple colorway with blue logo stripes. The other one comes in an orange colorway with yellow accents, making both perfect for the warmer days that lie ahead of us. The sneakers are now available at Gettry.

This latest Asics Gel Lyte III color up reminds us a bit of the popular Livestrong Nike sneakers we’ve been seeing a lot of lately. Questionable? Maybe. But it’s a deadly combo. The old school runner features a leather/mesh upper and grey scales across the midsole. Now available from Schuh-You.

Commissioned by the Nordpol+ Hamburg advertising agency, MABONA ORIGAMI designed origami models for a stop motion video that tells the story of Japanese sports brand ASICS. The movie won a Grand Prix at the Eurobest, gold at the New York festival, gold at the London International Awards, silver at the Clio in Miami and two times bronze at ADC Germany. (cqc)

Asics will shortly release two exciting new interpretations of the Gel Lyte Speed, a trainer that was originally developed in 1989 in Japan, and that was launched in the USA and Europe in 1991. The Gel Lyte Speed is a lighter version of the flagship Gel Lyte III, and was designed specifically to meet the needs of experienced runners.

21 years on, Asics is now set to launch two new versions of this successful design called the Surface Pack. Inspired by the outdoors, both shoes feature things a runner is likely to come across when out and about. One of the models is grey to represent the color of the road, and has touches of red and white for a road-sign look and feel, while the other has a more off-the-beaten-track style, with green to represent grass, and a mud-splashed sole and lace design.

These two unique designs from the Japanese running company will be available from 1 December 2009 at selected retailers across Europe!

Asics has released some new styles from their Holiday 2009 Collection. The popular Gel Lyte 3 comes in two new colorways, as well as the GT-2. We especially like the above brown colorways of the Gel Lyte III. All four new styles are now available from mita.

The Highsnobiety x Asics Gel Lyte III in collaboration with Ronnie Fieg from David Z., will be released tomorrow at David Z.’s Soho flagship store. The shoe will be released at 8am in store and at 10am online.

Following two very successful releases in the Culture Shoq and Nice Kicks Gel Lyte IIIs, we’re now able to reveal the third and final piece of Ronnie Fieg’s Asics Trilogy project. For the third Gel Lyte III, Ronnie worked with Highsnobiety’s own David Fischer on the patent leather and pig skin banger you see above.

The sneaker drops this coming Black Friday, November 27th, 2009. Being an online publication, 200 pairs will be available online at DavidZ.com starting at 10am, while 18 pairs are available in-store at David Z from 8am. Retail is $105 USD.
