Atelier La Durance | Coach Coat & Pea Coat

atelier la durance front Atelier La Durance | Coach Coat & Pea Coat

We like the way Atelier La Durance operates. Not only their high quality standards and attention to detail, but also the fact that they do not work seasonal and rather add product to the collection when they see need. Once product is in the collection it does not leave anymore, which only shows how much effort goes into each piece and that product is only added, if they really see need for it.

The latest additions include the Coach Coat and the Pea Coat. Both come in navy blue cotton with a gold satin lining. We especially like the coat coat and its wool collar.

Have a look at the new Atelier La Durance Jackets after the jump.

highsnobiety - Atelier La Durance x Oki-Ni Royston Denim

Atelier La Durance introduces their new slimmer fit Royston model with a collaboration with Oki-Ni. Aside from the usual ALD high quality denim used, each denim is individually numbered from 1-50 and comes with a whole host of subtle little extras including an ‘Atelier for oki-ni ribbon’ inside the jean and a tab on the back leather patch stating the project.

The jean also comes in a specially produced box including a numbered certificate clarifying its authenticity.

More detailed images of the Atelier La Durance x Oki-Ni denim follows after the jump.

Atelier La Durance Cardigan

Atelier La Durance is one of those special labels, that keeps their collection very small and sticks to the basics. Also they only make products, where they can be sure they are of the best quality and it would be impossible to make it better. At the same time they only create timeless pieces, that once they entered the collection come back every season. This perfectionism is something we admire about the brand.
Specialized in denim, the brand has also launched a nice knitwear collection and now added a cardigan to it. Made from a cashmere, angora & lambswool mix it features a classic straight cut with a slightly oversized button fastening. It has a ribbed cuff and hem finish and two patch pockets. Using the longer fibers, the tight knit retains its proper shape and softness. The Atelier LaDurance embroidered logo comes in a subtle blue on the chest with a side seam label.
The cardigan is now available in navy blue and grey at Oki-Ni.

Atelier La Durance Clothing & Accessories

When it comes to denim usually the US, Japan and also Scandinavia are in the highlight. France is not known for especially good denim, but of course in general for fashion. Atelier La Durance is changing that perception and bringing France into the high end denim game. Over the past couple of years the brand has slowly evolved and very carefully introduces new pieces every season, making sure the brand is heading the right direction. The way they have done that so far we can only appreciate.
Besides their standout denim, they also introduced denim jackets, cashmere v-neck sweaters and zip sweaters and hoodies, that come close in quality the Japanese Loopwheeler. Everything is about quality craftsmanship. When we look at the most recent items by the brand we are most impressed by their denim bags. They introduced two of those, made out of Japanese raw selvedge and premium leathers. Denim bags can go really wrong, which is not the case with these ones by Atelier La Durance – they show how it’s done!
Check out after the jump everything exciting by Atelier La Durance besides their denim – the clothing and the accessories.
