Renowned artist Taka Hayashi offers his distinctive handstyle to Vans for their 27th annual Triple Crown of Surfing event that takes place starting this November at Hawaii’s North Shore. Inspired by the Hawaiian venue, the shoes sport a black on black reef-like print across a canvas upper with an orange interpration on the inside. The shoe also features metal eyelets, round laces, and a blue sole (for the water!). Alongside original Taka Vans logos adorning the tongue and heel, the insoles are printed with the full Triple Crown of Surfing Hawaii script. Now available at Flauge.

Vans is one of the few brands where we are as excited about the classic goods as we are about the new and more innovative. For Fall/Winter 2009 we once again see our favorite silhouettes of the brand reworked in solid premium materials. The Half Cab, Sk8 Hi, Era and Authentic are part of the line-up with the Corduroy Authentic being one of our personal favorites. The new Vans Classics footwear is now available at Proper.

Following up on the Vans x Robert Crumb pack that we presented the other day, we show you the third sneaker in the collaborative pack – an Authentic One Piece. It comes with a blue suede upper with tonal graphics and white sole. It is available at stores from October 1st. Via Sneaker Freaker.

Vans sent over a first look at some forthcoming Authentics from the Spring 2010 Vault collection. Vans latest offering includes a rich leather interpretation of one of our favorite sneakers of all time. Those violet and brown hues look so buttery. Definitely one for the must-have list. Due out in February 2010.

To celebrate the Summer Sonic ‘09 music festival in Japan, Vans will be releasing a limited edition Authentic. The Authentic comes with a black canvas upper and a tartan check lining. The tartan check also appears on a special tag on the heel. The sneaker will be released in August 7th.

X-Girl got together with Vans to collaborate on two sneakers. They worked on the Authentic and on the Sk8 Hi. Both sneakers come in black canvas and feature a star all-over design. The pattern appeared previously on other X-Girl product, including their Eastpak collaboration collection. The Authentic features pink eyelets and the Sk8 Hi features a pink logo stripe, logo tag and laces.

A nice and solid pack comes from the Vans Spring/Summer 2009 Collection. The brown/mint color mix works very well and is solid, yet not boring at all – the perfect everyday colorway for the summer. The pack consists of several Vans classics and is now available in stores.

At first look the sneakers seem to feature a pinstripe design and only when you get closer you realize that it is actually a barb wire design. The pack includes the Sk8 Hi, Authentic and the Slip-On. Overall a very simple and classic pack, yet nothing you see all over the place either.

We present you the Vans Vault Summer 2009 Perforated Pack. Consisting of the Sk8 Hi Lx, Authentic Lx and the Classic Slip-On Lx, all three sneakers feature a black/white leather upper. The black leather parts feature a perforated pattern with a turquoise underlay coming through. Look out for a release of the pack some time beginning of May.
