Manchester’s Oi Polloi, working with Etnies Plus, has devised four styles of footwear hedged on subtle details. All feature the Oi Polloi Magpie motif. As with each Etnies Plus release each pair is individually numbered.

"The shoes maketh the man is what we were told when we were growing up, which must have had some kind of impact, as we’ve been left mentally scarred with what can only be described as a slightly fanatical obsession with shoes," said Steve Sanderson, Co-founder of Oi Polloi.  "One day we were talking to the nice chaps at etnies about the merits of geography teacher shoes, and how we were keen to make some shoes of our own. Not long after, the wheels were in motion, and as if by magic, the etnies Plus Oi Polloi Collaboration was created!"

(COMMUNE) will be dropping an intermediate delivery for Autumn 08. It will consist of our premium custom cut and sew t-shirts with graphic collaborations from: Alyasha Owerka Moore and his Fiberops line, Evil Goose of Dreamworks Pictures, Jared Eberhardt of the We Are Not You creative design agency, and a re-release of the (COMMUNE)xLovewright Co.’s collaboration from (COMMUNE)’s first season. All specs and fits have been painstakingly updated to universal measurements and and are all garment-dyed, using special washes, printing, and stitching; the quality can be seen in all the little details. Danny G. ex pro-skater turned biker (i.e. Jason Jesse style), Andy Meeh (old painter at West Coast Chopper’s, Jesse James’ shop), and Evil Goose of Dreamworks pictures have all also contributed (modeled) for the  2nd (COMMUNE) x The Social Trust photoshoot, with 530 Media Lab behind the update of (COMMUNE)’s website. (COMMUNE) will be releasing a full on season for Holiday 08 with outerwear and denim collaborations from Fiberops and other projects in the works.
