Following up on the MCM Men’s Spring/Summer 2012 Preview, we take a closer look at the digi camo backpack that the brand will be introducing next season. Their classic backpack shape comes in this new design, featuring a grey/blue/black camo pattern all-over the upper, with certain parts featuring black leather re-enforcements.

One of the products we look most forward to this season from visvim, is the range of corduroy luggage. Featuring their waist bag and several of their backpacks, the Japanese brand has once again gone out of their way and developed a water resistant micro-corduroy fabric for these new luggage pieces. The outcome is not only beautiful, but also functional. The above navy version with brown leather bottom is our personal favorite.

Japanese brand Whiz teams up with Porter as part of their new Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. As part of the collaboration they present a keycase and a large size backpack. Both are made of nylon, with the backpack featuring a premium leather bottom. Aside from a small white/red label, hinting at the collaboration, branding has been kept simple and clean, with the product itself taking center stage. Both pieces are now in stock at Lump.

Gravis gets together with Boston retailer Bodega on the ‘A-Frame’ Backpack. They gave the pack a nice wool upper with light brown leather details, resulting in an overall premium look with close to no branding. The 31L size backpack comes limited to 140 pieces, with only 10 of them being sold in the US.

The backpack has certainly had a really strong comeback these last years. Along with the outdoor/heritage trends going on, the backpack also made a welcome return. Many times inspired by more technical mountain packs, everybody brand features the piece in one way or another in their collections. Even Dior Homme has decided to get in there and we have to admit, it might be one of the best ones we have seen so far this year.

While being inspired by a trend that technically does not go very well with the world of Dior Homme, they managed to create a backpack that stays true to the brand. Clean lines, premium materials and just overall sharp design. It comes in both leather and wool options and should be available now from Dior Homme stores and retailers.

One of our favorite pieces from the new Prada Fall/Winter 2011 Collection is the above all-over ‘tartan’ pattern backpack. Next to the main compartment, the backpack also features two pockets on the outside. The backpack is exclusive to Selfridges, which is also mentioned on a special tag on the back.

As part of its new Fall/Winter 2011-2012 Collection, Burton offers the Photographer Series of bags and backpacks. Targeted at the active outdoor photographer, the range includes overall 4 different backpacks and one case. Each backpack is targeted at a different user, depending on the amount and type of equipment needed on the slopes.

Next to their Gore-Tex outerwear, the bags by Japanese brand nanamica are every season among our favorite. For Fall/Winter 2011 they have just released new cycling packs, day packs and messenger bags. Each style comes in overall three colorways, one classic herringbone version and two Cordura nylon versions. Our choice falls onto the herringbone cycling pack and day pack this season.

Another favorite every season from Supreme, is the New York brand’s bag collection. For Fall/Winter 2011 they worked with a printed check pattern in three colorways. The line-up this season includes a backpack, a duffle bag, a small utility bag, a camera bag and a small snake stash pouch. Except for the snake pouch, all bags in the collection are made of 1000 Denier Cordura nylon. Look out for release during the season.
