Although there are occasions when massive messenger bags are absolutely necessary, more and more people are realizing that a daypack is usually enough. Chari & Co NYC has thus worked hard on produced a new small size backpack that will carry all your everyday essentials. As usual the brand has stuffed it with all kinds of useful functionality, including a signature reflective strip, a carabiner with integrated light and bottle opener and added side mesh pockets. The backpacks are durable, lightweight and produced in the USA.

In a special edition line for Zozotown, Bape and Porter get together. For the occasion they decided to go with the tonal Bape Jacquard ABC Camo fabric in a dark navy tone. As part of the collection they present a Day Pack, Waist Bag, Wallet, Helmet Bag, Rucksack and our favorite – the 3Way Briefcase that can be carried as a bag or a backpack.

We have been fans of the Givenchy backpacks for a while. Last season’s Rottweiler pack was incredible. The new Spring/Summer 2012 Obsidia Backpack is much more subtle, yet great for everyday use, while clearly looking premium. The glossed canvas backpack comes in black and features tonal leather trimmings throughout. Further details include the concealed zip patch pocket and embossed logo detail on the front.

Already rather present in the men’s market with loafers and sneakers, Christian Louboutin is slowly making his move into accessories. We already presented some iPad cases earlier and today we present the all new Syd Backpack. The backpack comes with a pony hair upper, featuring a leopard all-over print. It can be worn as a backpack, but also as a tote bag and comes with a matching iPad case. Priced at 2795 USD, the Syd backpack is now available here.

Lexdray has teamed up with the talented LA production company Wendel, to give you an up close look at the ins and outs of each Lexdray bag. Now you can see (in 3D) each electronic compartment, weather resistant fabric and military grade hardware component, close up, so you can get a feel for all the intricate details.

A smart move in our mind, considering the wealth of functionality and details that each Lexdray bag has. Check out the video here below.

Releasing later this year is a collaborative capsule collection by Incase and artist Shepard Fairey. Together the two produced a nice range of items, comprised of bags and backpacks, as well as laptop sleeves, iPad and iPhone cases. The artist created compelling graphics and patterns for the collection, which is branded with both ‘Shepard Fairey’ and ‘Obey’.

Aside from the camouflage colorway, the popular nanamica Cycling Pack comes for Spring/Summer 2012 also in two more subtle versions. The Japanese brand presents the mid size backpack also in navy and in clean white. Perfect for daily use, the backpacks are now arriving at retailers.

New for Spring 2012, the BEATLES Comme des Garcons collection will be introducing some backpacks. Rucksacks in tartan prints or in all black, both with the iconic green apple and beatles logo, will be available in two sizes. Also, two new tartan shirts will be produced, in either red or blue check. these will be sold exclusively at Dover Street Market, and Comme des Garçons Paris and New York shops from February 17th, until they launch elsewhere in April.

The Undercover backpacks are always great and the new ones for Spring/Summer 2012 have just released. The large size backpack has a simple and clean appearance with a logo metal plate placed on the front. It comes in two colorways and is now available from Zozo.
