Vans pulls in another seminal music act, hardcore band the Gorilla Biscuits, for Spring/Summer 2011. The pack consists of a Slip-on and Sk8-Hi each of which are adorned with various logos from the band. Start today.

The legendary Bad Brains teamed with ROIR Records for an amazing leukemia awareness tee. “The shirt features our dear friend Kenneth Brimer’s Unite And Fight Leukemia artwork on the front and the Heart In Hand art on the back. The shirt is priced at $35 including shipping and all proceeds go toward Kenneth Brimer. After having worked with Bad Brains on several footwear collaborations, Vans worked on some apparel and accessories for Spring 2010. Their collaboration includes a t-shirt, board shorts, a belt and a wallet, all available here.

This Spring 2009, Vans will be releasing the Bad Brains collaboration pack. Next Fall they will present another collaboration with them, but this time on a snowboarding boot.

“The snowboarding boot comes with Vans’ technical draw-pull system and full cinch liner. The Bad Brain logo is embossed prominently on the outer.”

After first teaming up with Supreme and Vans, Bad Brains now worked directly with Vans on a small capsule collection. Coming Spring 2009, you will see a set of three sneakers – a Sk8 Hi, a Chukka and an Era. All three come in trademark colors of the hardcore punk band. The Chukka features an organic cotton upper. To complement the sneakers, they have also worked on a couple of collaborative t-shirts. Again there will be three t-shirts in the collection. One t-shirt features a vintage photo of the band, the other two feature cover-art from their first and very last albums. Images via Highsnobette.

Supreme and Bad Brains get together for a second installment. This time they worked on a hoodie and a couple of t-shirts, which all feature original artwork by Bad Brains. The collection will hit the NY and LA as well as web store on November 24th. In Japan the collaboration will be released on November 29th.

Along with the Supreme x Bad Brains pieces, they will also be releasing the third delivery of Supreme Fall/Winter 2008 t-shirts.

As part of their upcoming Bad Brains collaboration, Supreme once again gets together with Vans. This time the NYC brand worked on the Mountain Edition and the Old Skool. Both styles come in red, green, black and navy leather uppers and a tan leather patches on the heel. Furthermore the lining features a black/white pattern and the heel a red Vans x Supreme tag.

We’re live at the BRIGHT skate tradeshow in Frankfurt, Germany bringing you previews of coming spring 2009 collections. We start it off with the much anticipated Vans Bad Brains Collection which features three sneakers – low, high, and chukka – as well as three t-shirts to match.

Bad Brains is an American Hardcore punk band formed in Washington, D.C. in 1977. Highly regarded as being among the pioneers of hardcore punk, though Bad Brains themselves have objected to the term “hardcore” to describe their music.

Originally formed as a jazz fusion ensemble under the name Mind Power, Bad Brains developed a very fast and intense punk rock sound, which was both musically complex and was often played faster and more emphatically than the music of many of their peers. They were also an adept reggae band, in a sort of Jekyll-and-Hyde arrangement, while later recordings featured elements of funk and heavy metal. Bad Brains are also notable as religious followers of the Rastafari movement.

Bad Brains broke up and reformed several times over the years, sometimes with different singers and/or drummers. The band’s classic and current lineup is singer H.R., guitarist Dr. Know, bassist Darryl Jennifer, and drummer Earl Hudson.

Bad Brains has had a major influence on skate culture, therefore it was only natural for Supreme to join the band to produce a small capsule collection. Supreme will release a Vans Sk-8 HI in three colorways, harrington jacket, and two t-shirts.

Available at the NY and LA stores on April 24th. Japan will release the project on April 26th at the Daikanyama and Harajuku stores and April 27th at the Osaka and Fukuoka stores.
