Jil Sander presents their new Spring/Summer 2010 Accessories collection. The line consists of some really nice lace-up shoes, as well as bags. The natural tan leather details on the bags look great. Also they worked with some graphic on some of the bags. The lace-up shoes are available in numerous colorways and feature premium leather soles.

Paper Labels is a design project uniting BaileyWorks (Portsmouth NH), Bodega (Boston MA) and Independent Fabrication (Somerville MA) – three local DIY crews leading respective fields. BaileyWorks hand-crafts durable and elegant courier bags; Bodega is an innovator in retail/design; and Independent Fabrication creates bespoke bicycles with the meticulous care of artisans.

The Paper Labels project takes form in three concept bikes, four courier bags and three t-shirts. The color scheme and iconography of Paper Labels was derived from Bodega’s archive of discontinued vintage spraypaint. Krylon Aqua Turquoise #2008, Krylon O.D. Khaki #2301, and Krylon Metallic Blue #1903 serve as the foundation for the bike’s color schemes. Selected in part for their cult following and timeless appeal, these colors serve as the basis of this design project.

Showcasing enduring craftsmanship, this project tells the story of a time when things were made locally and built to last – a time before bikes became fashion and products were built to break.

Baileyworks, Bodega and Independent Fabrication will unveil the project Friday, February 12th, 7pm at FourthWall Gallery (132 Brookline Ave. Boston MA). Items from this project can be purchased at www.bdgastore.com and www.ifbikes.com. Bikes are limited to 15 each and are individually numbered.

Louis Vuitton presents as part of their Spring/Summer 2010 Collection a gym set. The set consists of head band, wrist bands, towels and a gym sack. If you are looking for a more bourgeois gym outfit, you might want to check this out.

A first hint at this exciting collaboration was giving during the Autumn/Winter 2008 fashion shows in Paris. Finally the Yohji Bag, designed by Yohji Yamamoto for Hermès, is coming out in 2010. The bag is made of Barenia leather, the signature material of the French leather manufacturer, and will be available soon in three sizes. Yamamoto certainly inhaled a bit of contemporary design into the otherwise very classic brand.

adidas presents a modern take on three pieces of classic luggage. Each STR series piece is constructed of heavy Charcoal Denim with 3M triangle details, internal padded pockets and water proof zips. A great, multi-purpose collection consisting of a hiking pack, flight bag and messenger bag (seen after the jump). End puts it as such. “Adidas’ range of bags has always been excellent and this contemporary reworking of a classic only serves to demonstrate this.”

Kai and Sunny once again designed the McQ press kit for Spring 2010. Also they worked again with UNKLE on the record that came along with the press kit. The complete kit consists of a tote bag, a t-shirt and an UNKLE CD.

MA.STRUM, a highly innovative menswear brand that successfully launched a capsule outerwear collection in February 2009, will present additional product categories for Spring/Summer 2010. The collection, characterized by the use of pioneering high‐tech fabrics and designs that focus on achieving optimum benefit and appeal to the wearer, incorporates garments inspired by the work of sportswear innovator Massimo Osti. These garments are identified with a special “Massimo Osti Archive” label.

The new Spring/Summer 2010 range consists of jackets, polo shirts, tops, as well as some accessories. Each piece comes with lots of small technical details, that are very hard to bring across with images.

Dr. Romanelli has once again produced a special collection for Barney’s Japan. The new Spring/Summer 2010 “Heritage” Collection consists of pants, shorts, shirts, vests and tote bags, all featuring patchwork uppers, made up of vintage heritage fabrics.

Designer Walter van Beirendonck worked with Chris & Tibor on a collaborative bag collection. The collection consists of backpacks and a series of waist bags, that are all very conceptual, just like you would expect from the Belgian designer.

Last year Gravis hired Benny Gold to work on their Expedition Series. Benny designed a series vintage camping inspired patches with a skateboard/surf/snow twist to fit the Gravis brand. The patches are seen across a series of apparel, footwear and Brown Buffalo designed bags. Awesome. Scheduled to hit stores mid-February.
