We present you a new collaboration of Barneys New York and Porter Japan. The two worked on a coupe of document cases as well as pencil cases. Overall they keep it simple and concentrate on the functionality, rather than the design.
The Barneys New York x Porter collection is now available at Barneys New York Japan.

Work boot maker Danner has gotten together with Japan’s Porter to create a luggage collection. They worked on a wallet, a brief case and a shoulder bag. The pieces all come in black leather with black stitching and feature on the exterior both the Danner and the Porter logo embossed.
The Danner x Porter collection is now available at Ripe.

The new Head Porter "Lesson" collection has arrived in the Honeyee Store. It consists of bags, backpacks, pouches and all things school related such as pen cases and folders. The only piece that is a little suspicious in the collection is the cigarette case.
All pieces in the line come in a nice mix of colors and also nice details, such as white leather straps on all zippers, giving the line a more premium look.

New York’s Capsule tradeshow is in full effect and very busy these days. We passed by the Nike booth today and took a first look at the Sportswear Spring 2009 collection. 
Dubbed "Earthquake" collection by us, for lack of a better description, Nike presents a series of pieces in the line. Backpacks, travel bags and windrunners all feature a photographic print all-over.
The collection will definitely find its fans.

The North Face Purple Label has now released in Japan a new Lizard Collection. The collection consists of wallets, messenger bags and backpacks, all featuring faux lizard skin on the upper. The lining comes in camouflage and of course you find on each piece the obligatory purple label. Each model comes in black, brown and yellow.

Matching their recent collaboration with Mitsuaki Iwago and Puma on the Endangered Species pack, Atmos has now worked with Porter and the artist on a matching luggage collection. 
The collection consists of a messenger bag, duffle bag, porche, drum bag and tote bag, all featuring photo prints of endangered species.

We present you a first look at the Surface 2 Air Fall/Winter 2008 collection. The Parisian brand presents a nice array of products consisting of denim, shirts, as well as special cut & sew pieces for both men and women. They also present some quality leather shoes and boots as well as and some nice bag accessories.
What you see here, is already available in the new Surface 2 Air store in the Marais district of Paris.

We broke the news a couple of weeks ago – the collaboration between Comme Des Garcons and Louis Vuitton. Thanks to Nitrolicious we can show you now the entire collection.
"Per the press release: On September 4, 2008, Louis Vuitton opens an impermanent store inside Comme des Garçons in Tokyo. The idea for the project emerged from the memories of Comme des Garçons founder Rei Kawakubo. In 1978, as a young designer, she saw the first Louis Vuitton store to open in Japan and was fascinated by the image of French craftsmanship and art de vivre it projected – a luxury that seemed to her, at the time, unattainable. Three decades on, Rei Kawakubo wanted to revisit her impressions, and so the association between Comme des Garçons and Louis Vuitton was born.

Intriguingly, Louis Vuitton is celebrating this year its 30th anniversary in Japan. Rei Kawakubo has dedicated and re-designed the entire Comme des Garcons store on Kottodori, Omotesando especially for Louis Vuitton for the duration of the project, from 4th September through mid-December, into a space that will be a celebration of the Louis Vuitton Monogram. The fruit of this unprecedented collaboration – an exclusive collection of six one-off bags – will be presented in a minimalist space, at the centre of which will be a display of historic Louis Vuitton trunks. Inspired by her memories, Rei Kawakubo chose the legendary Monogram canvas to create two Party bags, small evening purses with outsized natural leather handles. The designer also customized two classic Louis Vuitton bags, endowing the Papillon with kawaii (cute) animal charms and the Mini HL with multiple slender handles. Lastly, Louis Vuitton is reediting two iconic designs from the 1970s – the Petit Marceau and the Sac 2 Poches – which Rei Kawakubo is likely to have seen in the windows of that first Louis Vuitton store.

The bags will only be available upon order, which is only to be placed at the “Louis Vuitton at Comme des Garçons store”. No telephone or Internet orders will be taken. In return, customers will receive a certificate inside a special card holder in Louis Vuitton’s traditional natural leather, embossed with the Louis Vuitton at Comme des Garçons signature. Only several months later will their bag be delivered to their chosen Louis Vuitton store. Other iconic Louis Vuitton Monogram bags, such as the Speedy and Alma chosen by Rei Kawakubo, will also be on display and available for immediate sale inside this special “Louis Vuitton at Comme des Garçons” store."

Inspired by the currency of the 1982 classic Blade Runner, Nexus VII presents their latest collaboration with Japan’s Porter. The currency appears as an all-over printon a variety of new bags that will be released to Nexus VII dealers on the 7th of July.

Another Eastpak showcase from BBB Barcelona. Raf Simons for Eastpak Spring 2009 is being previewed. The line, which takes a touch of a departure from the last with their take on a mesh material against backpacks and duffles. No doubt this relationship will continue to output successful collections.
