Band of Outsiders presents their new Spring 2012 Collection and as usual they tend to surprise. This season none other than artist Ed Ruscha is modeling the new collection, as seen in the Polaroid style lookbook, that we are used to see from the Los Angeles brand by now.

The new collection follows in the footsteps of the previous ones, offering a sophisticated, well cut, casual style. Nice new colors are being introduced and of course you can as usual count on the razor sharp cuts of the shirts and suits in the collection.

Twice a year Band of Outsiders creates a Barney’s exclusive collection call No Bunk, No Junk. The idea is that it combines Barneys heritage, and their original logo, with sort of a best-of-band-of-outsiders, often including styles from previous seasons in new colorways, like the above blue toggle coat (previous design, new color). The collection is available in stores now and online at Barneys.

Union Los Angeles presents a nice look at this season’s Sperry x Band of Outsiders Fall/Winter 2011 collaborative boat shoes. 2 different silhouettes are offered with a traditional 3-hole boat shoe (in 2 colors) and a chukka version. Both boast some nice details but an especially nice touch has to be the wool/leather upper of the chukka.

We previewed most of the Band of Outsiders for Sperry Top-Sider Fall/Winter 2011 Collection a while ago. Here is a now a new style for teh season – the tassel loafer. It comes in two versions, featuring either a dark brown striped wool upper or a brown/dark brown suede upper. Both are now available from the official Sperry online store.

After recently presenting the new Band of Outsiders Fall/Winter 2011 Lookbook, featuring Tom Felton and Rupert Grint, we take a look today at the newly released Fall/Winter 2011 range of shoes that the LA brand produced as part of their on-going collaboration with Sperry Top-Sider.

Next to the classic 3 Eye Boat Shoe, Scott Sternberg also designed the Authentic Original Chukka boot and the all new Boat Moccasin. The 3 Eye Boat Shoe comes in a series of colors and materials, with the checker version above being the most exciting/eye-catching version. The Boat Moccasin is somewhat a strange silhouette and will certainly not find too many fans. The Authentic Original Chukka is a nice and classic looking high rise boot.

The collection should be on its way to stores now and is already available from the official Sperry Top-Sider online store as of today.

Band of Outsiders has released their Fall 2011 Lookbook featuring Tom Felton and Rupert Grint (aka Draco Malfoy and Ron Weasley of Harry Potter fame) as photographed at The Magic Castle in Los Angeles, CA (shot up the hill, in the courtyard of Yamashiro) on August 9, 2011.

Seasonal highlights include Sperry climbing boots, a wool blanket coat, a rabbit fur peacoat and various cashmere and alpaca knits. Other BoO staple pieces such as oxfords, chinos, pyjamas and boat shoes round out the drop. Visit your local Band of Outsiders retailer to purchase.

From the new Band of Outsiders Fall/Winter 2011 Collection we present the excellent Tuxedo Bib shirt. The combination of the classic tuxedo striped bib and stand-up collar has been matched with soft oxford cotton, making this a shirt perfect for everyday use. We cannot imagine any other brand but BOO coming up with this combination and giving it the perfect cut. Hollywood chic for everyday use, is probably the best way to describe it. The shirt, along with the rest of the new Band of Outsiders Fall/Winter 2011 line, is now available from Soto.

Today we attended the Band of Outsiders Spring/Summer 2012 Collection Presentation, happening during Pitti Uomo Summer 2012, the 8th edition of the Florence show. Scott Sternberg and his brand Band of Outsiders from LA, were chosen as guest designers, after Jil Sander, Undercover and Thom Browne showed the last three years.

Scott Sternberg put together a remarkable show, that was much more entertaining than what you usually get to see on the runway. Taking place at an old tabacco factory in Florence, the show was a mix of classic runway walking, dancing, and theatric performances, all while playing Westside Story as a background theme and music. Both the mens and womens collections for Spring/Summer 2012 were shown at the presentation, which was crowded with buyers, press and celebrity guests.
