Known globally for their great jackets, Barbour has us talking about something outside of the norm here with this waxed camo sports hat. This classic bucket hat is not only sporty in appearance, but is rather functional thanks to its 4oz Sylkoil waxed cotton. This should assist with the elements while out and about. This hat is currently available at end.

Barbour has come back strong with their collaboration with Japanese designer Tokihito Yoshida. Though still very popular with their classics, the brand had missed to innovate for some time, which is now finally happening with the Beacon Heritage Collection.
“Spring Summer 2012 sets the bar high once again, with outerwear creating the main body of the collection. Key pieces from the Autumn Winter range have been developed, none more so than the Spey Fishing Jacket. Constructed from Gore WINDSTOPPER Active Shell – a completely windproof, highly functional and breathable lightweight material – it is jam-packed with pockets, a signature of Yoshida’s unnerving passion for technical outwear that finds the balance between form and function with apparent ease. This can also be seen in the Mount Shirt, a brand new piece in the SS12 collection. Available in three materials; Waxed, Herringbone and WINDSTOPPER; the simplistic, ergonomically sound design makes it one of our favourite pieces from the range.
Tokihito’s pursuit of functional perfection can also be found in the Vintage Cotton Hunting Jacket. A homage to everything technical, this brilliant reworking of the classic hunting jacket is awash with pockets, fastening, D-rings and straps. Available in both Sand and Olive colourways, this is a fantastic, easy to wear piece.
Alongside developments on key pieces like the Sporting Quilt, Motorbike Shirt and knitwear with a nod Barbour’s cycling and fishing heritage, we think the Spring Summer 2012 Beacon Heritage collection is the going to be hard to beat.”
The new collection mostly consists of outerwear and knitwear and is getting to retailers soon, including End.

For Fall/Winter 2011 Barbour has produced a small range of goods with R. Newbold. A vest, the Bedale Jacket and the Quilting Jacket come as part of this collaboration in new colors and with added details. R. Newbold added prints to the vest and the Bedale jacket, giving the otherwise very classic pieces a more modern appeal. At the same time, the brand used the classic plaid and tartan fabrics for the lining, which results in an overall interesting mash-up. The three pieces will release in several colorways September 2011.

A beautiful crepe sole boat shoe comes this season from Barbour, the makers of the waxed jackets.
“Barbours’ much anticipated reworking of the of the classic Boat Shoe Silhouette with the addition of Natural British Crepe Sole and leather insole.
These hand-stitched, three eyelet walnut Leather shoes are a great example of what Barbour have become renowned for. Simply, well executed elegant design.”
We could not agree more. The choice of leather, stitching details and crepe sole finish are simply beautiful. The shoes are now in stock at End.

“To celebrate 75 years of their iconic International jacket, Barbour are producing 75 special limited-edition jackets taken from the original design. Created specifically for the 1936 International Six Day Trials that supplied its name, the Barbour International – in original green and later classic black – was the jacket for competitive motorcyclists through the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. It was worn by Steve McQueen and legendary stunt rider Bud Edkins.” The jackets will be available, in 2 finishes – box-fresh and distressed – from December 1, 2010 at Barbour’s Heritage stores, Liberty and key independents across the UK.

Today we can show you first images of the upcoming collaboration between Rockport and Barbour on a series of boots for Holiday 2010.
“The collaboration came about based on the brands’ shared set of ideals of quality and technology. Each company has an unwavering commitment to quality products that can be seen in a wide array of executions from dress shoes to boots for Rockport, and from jackets to sweaters for Barbour.
Barbour pioneered the method of using oilskins which today is translated through their proprietary waxed cotton fabrics to keep seafarers, laborers, farmers and city dwellers safe from the harsh cold and wet weather. Similarly Rockport pioneered the use of advanced athletic technologies in traditional dress shoes to enhance overall walking comfort.
Both Rockport (established 1971) and Barbour (estasblished 1894) have combined their long-standing design traditions to create a limited edition boot collection in three distinct styles: the Cap Toe Boot, the Plain Toe Boot and the Chukka Boot.
The Rockport x Barbour collaboration features authentic Barbour waxed cotton fabric, Barbour heritage tartans, Barbour hardware as well as an integrated adiPRENE by adidas footbed, which provides superior shock absorption at the heel strike.
Throughout the collection Rockport has paid attention to considerable details including hand stitched linings, beautiful pull up leathers, and rawhide laces. In addition Rockport has used its patented Walkability outsole, which helps mimic the natural walking stride by assuring a smooth strike of the foot and an efficient roll and flex of the foot throughout the walking motion.”
The boots will be released at Rockport Las Vegas, Barbour New York, Bodega Boston, Opening Ceremony New York and Blackbird Seattle November 2010.
