Following the Harris Tweed capsule, Base Control releases another solid day pack for the season. The very classically shaped bag comes in four different polka dot canvas/suede combinations and includes a nice pinstripe lining. Great in terms of functionality, quality and price – granted you have a way to get them out of Japan. Now in at Base Station.

Base Control presents a solid new luggage and accessory collection using Harris Tweed on all pieces. The line consists of pouches, wallets, messenger bags and backpacks. The bags come in black, grey, as well as navy and all look very solid, both in terms of functionality and price. The collection is now available from Basecontrol.

Today we came across this new pair of Cover Layer Pants from the Undercover Spring/Summer 2009 Collection. The pants combine a 3/4 length trousers with inner thermo protection pants. Having the cyclist in mind, the combination certainly makes sense. On a recent Berlin trip we actually saw somebody sporting these and they looked great, but it is not something everybody can pull off. Via Think Silly.

Resonate Goodenough got together with Base Control to work on some t-shirts and matching boxer shorts. Both come in red, black and navy, featuring a cross pattern all-over. Via SV.

Japanese designer and artist Skate-Thing, who is also the creative director at A Bathing Ape, now worked with Base Control on some items. He designed a couple of t-shirts, boxer shorts and also a matching bag. Via Shinsuke Takizawa.

It is incredible seeing Mastermind Japan going into their 11th year and still you will hardly find any goods by the brand that are not black and do not carry the skull and bones logo. The drive to deliver superior quality with a subtle aesthetic just seems to work.
Here we give you a look at some of the first releases out of their Spring/Summer 2008 collection. A nice new windstopper blouson, skull denim pants, cap, scarf, ties and also a Fragment Design x Base Control underwear collection. All these goods are now available at Cliff Edge.

Fragment and Neighborhood worked once again with Japanese basics label Base Control to release a beanie. It comes in black and grey and just features a tag with both brand logos on it, otherwise stays simple and basic. The beanies have now bee released at Zozo.

Fall means for many places around the globe rain and thus this umbrella comes just in time. Mastermind Japan and Fragment Design got together with Base Control on an umbrella. They kept it simple and just added their logos, embroidered on the closing strap. The umbrell comes in two colorways. Via HF.

The new Head Porter Plus Autumn/Winter 2007 collection starts getting released at Japanese retailers. They continue in the same direction where they left off last season – very simplistic and with concentration on quality and cuts.
In the new collection you find chinos, denim, longsleeve tees in collaboration with Base Control, shirts in collaboration with Fragment design and also the John Smedley collaboration continues throughout the Autumn/Winter Season. Pictures via Figure.
