Nike celebrates the college basketball March Madness with the Dunk High. Releasing this week, the iconic high top sneaker will come in overall 6 colorways, offering something for everybody. Proper already has them in stock.

After Kanye West, Virgin’s Richard Branson is the latest one to appear in the Nike KobeSystem campaign. Kobe Bryant explains him what Success At Success At Success means.

This season, Nike is outfitting nine top NCAA basketball teams with specially designed uniforms made from recycled polyester.

Designed at the intersection of sustainability and performance, the Nike Hyper Elite Platinum uniform is tailored for optimal efficiency of movement, while being five percent lighter than the previous Nike Hyper Elite uniforms. Featuring laser-cut bonded logos, a sharp platinum design as well as prominent accent colors, the Nike Hyper Elite Platinum uniforms are sure to shine on the court.

Teams to wear the Nike Hyper Elite Platinum uniforms in 2012 include The University of Arizona, Baylor University (women’s), Duke University, University of Florida, University of Kentucky, Syracuse University, The University of Connecticut (men’s and women’s) and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Look for these on court starting late-January 2012.

In Nike Basketball’s newest campaign, Kobe Bryant steps beyond his role as a basketball superstar and into the role of a motivational speaker. Learning from his own lessons of success on the court, Kobe inspires some of the most accomplished business, entertainment and sports leaders across the globe to reach for even greater success in their own lives. Dubbed “The KobeSystem: Success for the Successful,” Bryant’s winning philosophy is grounded in his proven ability to adapt to succeed as a player and also reflected in his revolutionary new signature shoe, the Nike Kobe VII System Supreme.

In addition to the TV spot, the KobeSystem personalities will be featured in a variety of digital content films including testimonials proclaiming their affinity for “the system” and individual films showing where they fit on Kobe’s success pyramid.

Shot in Hollywood, the Nike KobeSystem “Success for the Successful” commercial spot was directed by Jody Hill. Known for his role as co-creator and executive producer of the series Eastbound & Down, Hill has directed, produced and acted in a variety of features films. The campaign was produced by Wieden + Kennedy of Portland, Ore.

As usual Nike Basketball presents special make-ups of some of their sneakers for the Christmas Day games.

Kobe Bryant will push the boundaries by wearing a purple and lime green version of the Nike Zoom Kobe VII System (Attack Fast) with special graphics representing the speed of the leopard with red laces. LeBron James goes a bit more traditional with a red upper, white midsole and green lace version of the LEBRON 9. Kevin Durant will wear a metalized-effect version of the Nike Zoom KD IV inspired by copper cookie cutters. And Amar’e will sport a predominantly green version of the Nike Air Max Sweep Thru paying heritage to New York’s Christmas Day uniforms.

Nike’s Basketball Never Stops campaign continues with the commercial Paint the Town, featuring Kevin Durant.

In this spot he’s seen playing with various groups including local seniors, playing one-on-one with artist and friend J. Cole, and going head to head with truckers at a nearby gas station rest stop. Paint the Town is set to the song “Good Times” by legendary vocalist Sam Cooke.

The Paint the Town spot was produced by Wieden + Kennedy Portland and Park Pictures (Los Angeles / New York) and directed by Lance Acord.

Nike honors its nation’s veterans on this 11-11-11 with these special camouflage HyperElite uniforms — the brand’s most advanced and lightest production uniforms — for Michigan State University and the University of North Carolina, who will actually be engaging in a game on the USS Carl Vinson in what is being billed as the Carrier Classic.

The uniforms unique look is not even the main aspect of these as they are made of 80 percent recycled polyester created from recycled bottles. Nike unveiled this special eco-friendly driven jersey composition prior to the World Cup, but like most Nike technologies, it has filtered its way through another sport, this being NCAA Basketball.

The special edition uniforms being worn for the Carrier Classic will feature some prideful USA embellishments such an American flag on the heart of the unis and U.S.A. lettering across the back. Also, if you check the waistline, an 11-11-11 marking can be found beneath each respective team’s logos.
