lebrons front Nike Zoom Lebron IV The LeBrons Pack

This weekend Nike is set to launch “The LeBrons” – a special pack of footwear from the Zoom LeBron Six collection that takes its inspiration from the four popular LeBrons characters featured in Nike commercials since 2006.

Designed to reflect the personalities of the four LeBrons characters, “Athlete LeBron”, “Business LeBron”, “Kid LeBron” and “Wise LeBron”, “The LeBrons” will be available individually at select retail locations in Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and New York beginning Saturday, October 25, and in Cleveland on Sunday, October 26. Each of “The LeBrons” shoes incorporates materials and colors that represent the characters’ exuberant personalities. The sneakers also feature a photo of the character on the inside of the tongue as well as a silhouette of the character along the sock liner of the sneaker. The limited edition sneakers will be available for a suggested retail price of $160.

To celebrate the launch of “The LeBrons,” Nike will host The LEBRON JAMES BLOCK PARTY on Sunday, October 26, in Cleveland. More info on that, and details of the shoes after the jump.

Nike Hyperdunk 2015 NYC Release

11 July 2008, 02.02 | Posted in Sneakers | No comments »

highsnobiety - nike hyperdunk 2015 harlem launch
The Hyperdunk, designed by Nike creative director Eric Avar, is one of the lightest and most innovative basketball footwear products Nike has ever produced. Debuting on the feet of Nike athlete Kobe Bryant on April 10th, the Hyperdunk will hit retail outlets in the U.S. on July 27th.

While designing the Hyperdunk shoe, Avar took design inspiration from a Nike concept shoe created in the late 80’s for movie character Marty McFly [played by Michael J. Fox] in the film Back to the Future II.  The shoes were created through a licensing agreement with Universal Studios Consumer Products Group.  Looking at the Hyperdunk’s overall shape, distinctive heel counter and midsole, these features all hearken back to this original concept shoe.

As part of the launch, Nike will introduce limited colorways leading up to the retail debut of the Hyperdunk. One of those limited products is the Hyperdunk 2015.

The Hyperdunk 2015 will continue this tribute to the original concept shoe by borrowing some of the iconic coloring that made the shoes so striking. The upper of the Hyperdunk 2015 features the same matte grey and white colors that appeared on the original. It also features the grey and teal speckled midsole that jumped off Marty McFly’s original footwear, as well as glow in the dark panels that give the shoe a futuristic feel.

Additionally the Hyperdunk 2015 will feature call outs to the film including graphics from McFly’s hover board on the sock liner and a few more subtle references for people to discover on their own.

Consumers will be able to find the Hyperdunk 2015 at Nike House of Hoops (in NYC) as well as Niketown and other select Nike retailers.
Check out many detailed images after the jump.

Nike Dunk Rivalry Pack

18 April 2008, 11.14 | Posted in Sneakers | No comments »

nike dunk rivalry pack - highsnobiety
We present you the Nike Dunk Rivalry Pack. It consists of the Orangemen Dunk, Heel Dunk and Hoyas Dunk for Syracuse University, North Carolina and Georgetown.
“The story behind them involves Nike going back to the roots of the Dunk and their origins in Basketball, as well as Nike’s foundation in collegiate sport. The Rivalry Dunks pay homage to the TRUE fans at three particularly noteworthy colleges. Each of these colleges have fans that have distinguished themselves by camping out in the dead of winter, queuing up in line for days at a time and essentially bleeding their team colors. Nike set out to recognize the passion for sport, and the rivalries that drive it, by working with a lucky group of the most hardcore fans, the teams and the Athletic Departments of each of these three colleges to create a custom Dunk in their honor. This was followed up by a ceremonial dinner and special festivities for those involved, culminating in a pair of the (exceptionally limited) Dunks given to a select group of very fortunate individuals at each function with the rest of the invited guests cheering them on.” Via Allen AKA.
Have a detailed look at all three Dunks after the jump and do not get your hopes up on getting one of them.
