Aaron Rose’s touring Beautiful Losers show has landed in Madrid. The host institution is La Casa Encendida. Highlighting graffiti and skate based art, the show includes the likely cast of Kaws, Futura, Todd James, Espo and more. The road show stays in Madrid until January 4, 2009. For the premieres of the Beautiful Losers movie in Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco, Krink produced a special marker, featuring the Beautiful Losers logo on top of the marker. Via KR.

Not long ago we presented you the Nike Beautiful Losers Dunk Hi’s, which utilized anew technology by Nike, that made it possible to project hi-resolution images directly onto the sneaker. The outcome was a series of Nike Dunk Hi’s, featuring scenes from the recently released Beautiful Losers movie documentary. 
Now Nike is getting ready to auction off the Dunk Hi’s. A total of 32 pairs will be auctioned off on eBay between August 24th and September 21st, 20

• 8 auctions starting on Sunday August 24th at 12am EDT. 1 unique pair per auction. Week-long auctions ending at 11:59pm on Sunday August 31st EDT. 

• 8 auctions starting on Sunday August 31st at 12am EDT. 1 unique pair per auction. Week-long auctions ending at 11:59pm on Sunday September 7th EDT. 

• 1 final auction starting on Sunday September 14th at 12am EDT. 1 full set of 16 pairs. Week-long auction ending at 11:59pm on Sunday September 21st EDT.

The winning bidders will be contacted immediately. Footwear will be shipped by November 1st 2008.

Open only to legal residents of the U.S., who have reached the age of majority. Payment must be received within 72 hours of each auction’s end. Most of you should know by now that the Beautiful Losers exhibition has stopped in Tokyo, Japan, this week. Many of our favorite artists are part of the exhibition. The movie also just started in NYC, check for the schedule here.
This weeks highlight was a screen printing lesson given by Tetsu Nishiyama of WTAPS. The designer showed step by step on how to create a t-shirt with a screen printed graphic. Pics via The Lucky Lefty.

On the 8th of August the Beautiful Losers will open in New York at the IFC Center. 
"Presented by NIKE SPORTSWEAR, the film chronicles the lives and creative process of artists including Shepard Fairey, Margaret Kilgallen, Mike Mills, Barry McGee, Jo Jackson, Chris Johanson, Harmony Korine, Stephen Powers, Geoff McFetridge, Thomas Campbell and Ed Templeton, among others, whose DIY attitudes informed the aesthetics and ethos of their generation.
To further commemorate the film’s release, Nike’s Sportswear’s JESSE LEYVA has also created a series of 22 Beautiful Losers Dunks emblazoned with iconic stills from the movie using the company’s new high-resolution digital printing process. Says Aaron Rose of the project, “We went back to the documentary and pulled frame stills of what we felt were key moments in the narrative. We used these moments to tell the Beautiful Losers story using the shoes as a medium, with the end result being a collection of works of art.” Viewed together, the shoes reflect the overall narrative of the film, and after being exhibited at the NYC and LA “Make Something!” workshops, two sets of the shoes will be auctioned off with proceeds donated to the Children’s Aid Society." As mentioned above, two sets of the shoes will be auctioned very soon. We cannot remember the last time we were as excited about a set of shoes – a true collectors piece.

XLarge Japan now made some Beautiful Losers t-shirts to celebrate the release of the Movie to the exhibition in Japan. The t-shirt comes in black and white for men.
They also made some womens pieces for the occasion. The t-shirts will be released on the 26th of July. Check out the womens after the jump.
