Nike worked together with Bob Haro on recreating his original BMX number plate as an artist canvas. The number plate was then given to several artists, including Michael Lau, Tet from WTAPS, Greg Higgins, Lee Basford and others to create their version of the plate. The final BMX number plates were exhibited at the Nike Beijing BMX event a couple of weeks ago.
The Shadow Conspiracy crew also participated and now put a nice feature on the exhibition online. Check out the feature here.

nike hyperdunk beijing 2008 - highsnobiety
Along with its apparel and footwear for overall 22 sports, Nike also presented in Beijing the Olympics version of their newly developed Hyperdunk.
Nike’s lightest and strongest basketball shoe owes its existence to Nike’s revolutionary Flywire technology as it made its transition from track spikes to basketball. Flywire is the innovation driving Nike’s strongest and lightest footwear. Super-strong nylon filaments provide precise support akin to the suspension cables in a bridge, and allow a radical reduction in weight with material only where it’s needed for structure.
For the special occasion, the Chinese team got their very own version of the shoe in their team colors.

Nike Air Max 90 Flywire – Black/Green & Black/Yellow

nike air max 90 flywire - highsnobiety
Before we showed you the new Nike Air Max 90 Current, a fusion of the AM90 and the Free. Also part of the Nike Sportswear Fall ‘08 collection is the new Air Max 90 Flywire.
The Flywire technology was just recently introduced with the Hyperdunk and uses a wire technology that gives the shoe stability and makes it at the same time very light. Overall a groundbreaking technology that has now also been incorporated into the Air Max 90. The upper is seamless and one can see the wires going over the sneaker. The Air Max 90 logos that usually sit on the rubber parts of the shoe, are now in the same spot, but printed. Also it features the Nike Free sole just like the Air Max 90 Current.
We present you a black/yellow and black/green colorway, which is a special for the Beijing Olympic Games.

The development of the Air Rejuven 8 has come under the close scrutiny of some of Nike’s leading designers and the world famous Innovation Kitchen.

A pure mix of comfort of the Air Presto, the aesthetics of the Zvezdockha, and the likes of the Air Kukini, Sock Racer and Air Huarache. The Rejuven8 is the culmination of many years of Nike innovation which provides users with top breathability, fit and performance benefits.
Bottom line, its an interesting looking, light summer shoe. The sock liner features the Olympic colors and they also come in a special carrying bag.
