Introduced in the 90s as an extension of the “Skate And Create” theme of Transworld SKATEboarding magazine, the monthly Brain Floss feature focused on the artistic talents of skateboarders off their boards. In 2008, the Brain Floss has awoken from its five-year hibernation, and with the help of New Era Cap Company, the artists are being given their choice of hat silhouettes to do as they please—the outcome being a limited run of caps for fans of TWS, New Era, and the featured artist/skateboarder. Number one in a series of six artists is San Francisco’s Benny Gold who chose the classic 59FIFTY and actually did two versions—a black and orange San Francisco version to represent his home, and a brown and gold version to represent San Diego, the home of TWS.
Fitted Hawaii has a limited amount of both styles that Benny Gold created in stock now.

For a recent Mash SF trip to Texas, Benny Gold transformed their logo into a Texan cattle for the t-shirts of the trip. Steam is coming out of the nose to represent the speed of a fixed gear bike. The shirt will be released in two colorways.

Benny Gold was asked to create a 1 Year Anniversary t-shirt for Singapore store Black Chamber. The design plays with the words of both names. The oil rig is in the shape of a large number 1 to symbolize their first year in business.

Once again Benny Gold gets together with Roughneck Hardware and matching his bolts they present a collaboration t-shirt – “Gold Rush”. These should be dropping soon, we’ll keep you posted!

Here a little preview of the new soon to drop Benny Gold Pinstripe New Era caps. They will be coming out this Spring, in two colorways. They come in Florida Marlins and Oakland Raider colorways.

Benny Gold shows us the latest designs that he has done for Huf SF. He contributed 2 strong designs to the collection. One more colorful design and the other one a little more classic. The two designs were made for t-shirts.

After the recent Huf Holiday 2007 release, the Benny Gold collection is the next one to drop. The new Holiday line consists of t-shirts, hoodies and New Era caps. The collection mainly consists of two themes, one with a classic sports inspired logo and another one that follows in the footsteps of the very first Benny Gold collection. All in all it’s a nice continuation to what we have seen previously.
Huf will be releasing the collection this coming Saturday, December 22nd and it is also on its way to other accounts right now. After the jump a look at all the pieces. Both the t-shirts and hoodie will come in more colorways though.

Here we present you another design done by Benny Gold for the Stussy Fall/Winter 2007 collection. The World Tribe flag design by the artist comes in hoodies and on t-shirts in several colorways and is out in stores now!
