As part of the adidas Consortium City Series we give you today a first detailed look at the Berlin sneaker in collaboration with Solebox. The designed was based on the original colors of the adidas Berlin. Only one color was added and the actual original colors are placed on the interior lining of the sneaker, making for an interesting effect and detail. Basically you get the old and the new adidas Berlin in one shoe. Look out for a release of the sneaker on October 17th.

Today we passed by the Parra exhibition at Pool Gallery in Berlin. For almost 4 months Parra has been preparing for the show, creating lots of new original pieces. Highlights in the show mark his new black/white series of prints, which come in editions of only 9 pieces. Our personal favorite is his new mid-size sculpture, which comes in his signature colors and in an edition of 20. Otherwise the exhibition showcases many outstanding paintings by the Dutch artist. We can only recommend a visit.

From August 29th Wood Wood Berlin will also be hosting a Parra pop-up store, where you will be able to purchase a special t-shirt that was released only for this event, along with lots of other Parra items.

Reebok introduces a new high top sneaker as part of their Spring/Summer 2009 Collection. The Berlin comes in two colorways, featuring a mix of perforated and snake skin embossed leather on the upper. The Reebok Berlin is now available at Proper.

Yesterday the Solemart event by Solebox took place in Berlin. Sneaker collectors from Germany and all over Europe came out to buy and trade sneakers. A lot of sneaker brands also participated in the event, including Lacoste, adidas, New Balance, Reebok and asics, all showcasing old classics, stand-out collaborations and upcoming collections to the sneaker enthusiasts.

Last week the launch of the Nike 1World Air Force 1 Feride Uslu took place at Wood Wood Berlin. Here some impressions of the great event. Not only the invites looked like flight tickets, they also had real airplane seats, windows and more in place, to make sure the theme of the sneaker was translated into the setup of the event.

The 4010 store opened its doors last week in Berlin. The new Deutsche Telekom concept store sells all the usual product and presents next to it interesting collaborations, sports a bar, DJ set and much more. Artschoolvets produced a series of t-shirts for the occasion in collaboration with well respected contemporary artists from Germany. The t-shirts are now available in the Artschoolvets Online Store.

As part of the opening of the new 4010 store we are also giving away four (4) tickets to the upcoming NBA game that is taking place in Berlin. The New Orleans Hornets will be playing the Washington Wizards in Berlin and you have the chance to be there.

Just this morning we gave you a look at the Plus 41 "Roger Federer" installation at the Nike 0808 store in Berlin. For the occasion there was also a follow-up eventafterwards. In a small round of 20 people, Nike invited for dinner at the Shiro iShiro in Berlin, a great Asian fusion restaurant inside the Lux 11 hotel.

For the after party Nike invited together with LiveDemo DJ AM to perform. The event took place on a Tuesday night, and the 200 + people that attended (including us) had a great time for sure. DJ AM did a great job choosing the right mood for the evening. A good sign for a great party is always when it is supposed to stop at 1am and ends up going on until 3am.

This week we intended the opening of the Roger Federer Installation at the Nike 0808 Store in Berlin. Graphic design agency Plus 41 created the installation, celebrating both the Olympic Games and also the birthday of the tennis superstar. The event was hosted by Nike and Artschoolvets.

Essentially Plus41 created a series of logos, each standing for a moment in the career of Roger Federer. A little while ago we presented you the flywire windrunnerand longsleeve that came featuring the very same artwork.

Just like a timeline, the logos guide you through the career of Federer, making it an interesting installation for sure. Should you be in Berlin any time soon, make sure to check it out.

The buzz around Nike Sportswear does not seem to stop any time soon. This past Friday the Berlin 080808 store also opened its doors in the heart of Berlin Mitte. Across the street from Nort Berlin (on Muenzstrasse in the backyard is the entrance), you find the new Nike Sportswear pop-up store, which strikes with great interior design and of course special products, most of which we have presented in the last couple of months. The location is split into a store area and a gallery area. Last but not least you find Nike iD stations to design your own shoes, as well.
The opening last Friday was a great success, with lots of people rolling through. Have a look at the new store and make sure to visit on your next Berlin trip.
