A couple of artists got together to design an artist deck anniversary series for Black Label. Participating artists included Todd Bartrud, Jeremy Fish, Natas, FOS and Sheppard Fairy. The artist deck series is now available at Stil Laden.

From Red Clay comes their higher tier Black Label Collection for Fall/Winter 2008. With very simple to form silhouettes, Red Clay expands their lineup with looks that will attract a distinct consumer who does not compromise on quality or fit. Of particular interest are the wool zip up jackets and double breasted wool jacket with hoods. A great look which brings comfort and warmth during the coming months. Bape will soon release this Black Label Roadsta. It features a multitude of premium leathers on the upper, while keeping an overall clean look. Bapexclusive will be getting them on the 21rst of June.

In 2002, I bought an Eagles Starter Parka on eBay for 28$US shipped. I also cut some fancy parts in my hair. My childhood swagger was back. Unfortunately, the jacket was roughly the same size I would have worn when I was eleven, and the haircut was not greeted warmly by women. I’d made a slight mistake, failing to fuse my nostalgic yearning with my contemporary needs.  

Last holiday season, when images of Starter jackets started appearing and rumors of a revamp began to buzz, memories of my youth (and my misguided style choices in 2002) were ignited. Recently, we were greeted to official confirmation of the rumors. Starter is back… or more appropriately, the brands profile has been reinvigorated. Helmed by Jeff Staple, Starter Black Label is sporting heritage meets contemporary sportswear.

This coming weekend A Bathing Ape will release its new Bapesta 88 high top sneaker. It comes in a black/white colorway. You can be sure it will come in many more colors this year. Also they will release t-shirts of the Bape Black Label.
The product will be available at Bapexclusive as of April 27th.

During Christmas time lots of Starter Jackets arrived at peoples doors and that was the first hint, that this all-time classic would soon be coming back. Now Jeff Staple shows some upcoming pieces of the Starter Black Label Fall ‘08 collection.
It looks like they will stick to classics and the style that they are known for. Definitely an exciting relaunch, that we look forward to. Check out some more upcoming styles after the jump.

Stone Island has been one of our favorite labels for years now, especially because they never followed any trends and always concentrated on being innovative. That is something rare nowadays, especially by a small independent company. They develop all materials themselves.

A while back we heard that an upcoming collection by the brand was designed by Errolson from Acronym and of course we got excited. Luckily we ran into him a few weeks ago in Berlin and he told us a bit about it and also showed us some samples of the Fall collection. The Stone Island Black Label will get to stores end of the year and will be a little different from the usual Stone Island collection, while still being very innovative, if not even more. Smart design with lots of functionality, the same principles that made Acronym so popular are also the core values of this new collection. Thankfully they also adjusted the cuts a little, because Stone Island is very Italian in their cuts, resulting in overall very short pieces.
Keep your eyes open for this collection, it will blow you away in a few months. Thanks for the pic to Jeff Staple.
