Today the new A.P.C. Quilts Collection for Spring 2012 went on sale. In the 5th round of the special line, the designs by Jessica Ogden and Jean Touitou cover not only blankets, but also cushions. All of these pieces are handmade and the result is simply beautiful.

Here comes an interesting new collaboration between Dutch artist Parra and Pendleton Woolen Mills. The artist created a wool blanket with the iconic brand. The 60 x 90 inch blanket comes in a limited edition 0f 125 pieces and is now available from Arkitip for 410 USD.

Perfect for the season, Original Fake has released a bandana pattern fleece blanket. The soft blankets are 145cm x 75cm in size, come in black and navy and at 129 Euro actually make for a great present. The two blankets are now in stock at Firmament.

Stussy keeps up their run of constant high profile collaborations. Most interesting though, is the fact that the brand can collaborate with brands that hardly anybody in its space gets to work with. The latest one is a team up with Portland’s Pendleton Woolen Mills. Together they present a check wool shirt and the Zulu Muchacho Blanket. Both pieces will release December 17th, 2011, at Stussy stores.

By now we should be all aware that outdoor gear is as dominent in the fashion circus as ever. Brands such as White Mountaineering have perfected the style and classic outdoor brands such as The North Face also make a strong push into the market with special lines, such as their Purple Label collection.

The North Face Purple Label has just released for Fall/Winter 2011 a new fleece collection. Using interesting all-over patterns and patchwork designs, they offer everything from jackets, vests, to neck warmers, bags, shorts and blankets. These are all great pieces for layered outfits this season and they do not only look great, but also function well and will keep you warm.

Stussy once again gets together with Tower Records and outdoors supply company Coleman to get you set up for the festivals in the coming months.

For Fall 2011 the three brands present a camping chair, the utility blanket and the micro quad LED lantern. The collection comes in a military green colorway with Stussy graphic pattern and will be released September 22nd.

“The Standard Hotels group has worked with artists Geoff McFetridge and Chris Johanson on a series of  Pendleton blankets,” as reported by Selectism.  ”Geoff created his blanket for The Standard, Hollywood in black and light blue with initials ‘GM’; Chris created his blanket for The Standard, Downtown LA in heather grey and warm yellow, with the text reading “all people are multi dimensional.” They’re also available for purchase at shopthestandard. 40 blankets have been produced per artist in two sizes.”

We get a further look at the soon to launch collaboration between Levi’s Workwear and Pendleton. Compared to other collaborations with the wool maker, we appreciate the minimalist use of color in the collection, making it so much easier to wear. Also it will most likely be much cheaper than the collection of Opening Ceremony with Pendleton. Here we preview a shirt, a blanket and another denim jacket from the collection.

It is nothing new seeing Bape re-appropriating iconic items that other brands are known for and making it part of their own collection. Today we take a closer look at the accessories from the Pendleton Fall/Winter 2010 Collection. The traditional Indian patterns on Pendleton wool fabrics look beautiful and have been rolled out on lots of accessories this season.
