The Wall Street Journal has analyed the “Bling” market during times of the recession in a recent article, entitled “Culture of Bling Clangs to Earth as the Recession Melts Rappers’ Ice”. As expected things are not looking good. Via BBC/Ice Cream.

G-Shock is definitely becoming more popular again, especially due to a strong set of collaborations. That also means that more people run around wearing them and that results in Pharrell having to do something special with his. What he was going to dois obvious, add some bling to the watch.
He actually took some Bape x G-Shock watches and entirely covered them in black diamonds, a pink model and an all black model. One also comes with a Billionaire Boys Club logo on the back.

Kidrobot introduces the Donuts. After introducing them in the form of toys, they now also made it onto the Kidrobot clothing line. The latest release includes these Bling Donuts tees, donuts dipped in gold and candy. The tee comes in gold on white and silver on black.

We have come across quite some sneaker jewelry ideas over the past months and to date nothing was really convincing, either because the look was no good or because the mechanism was not well thought through.
Now we came across Ends, a new brand that wants to change the way you wear a hoody, shoes, sneakers, etc. The brand specializes in accessories to put on your laces/straps. We are very impressed by the quality and attention to detail in their work. Their debut collection features pieces in 18k black gold with black diamonds and 24k yellow gold with white diamonds and white diamond bridal. Via Gourmet.

If you are into adding some bling to your outfit, this is definitely as good as it gets, and in a much subtler way than what we see out there so far. Until now none of the other brands could really establish itself in this market, thus it will be interesting to see how Ends will perform. Expect Ends to appear next month at finer stores near you.
