To celebrate the opening of the Hurley Laguna Beach Flagship store and the 2D art show done in Hawaii at the Contemporary Art Museum, Hurley produced a pair of custom board shorts designed by world renowned artist Dalek. Working with the standard surf shape, Dalek outfitted the shorts with his signature multi-colored geometric shapes. Limited to 100 pieces. Now available at In4mants.com.

If you are a regular reader of this site, Quiksilver is probably not the first brand name that comes to mind; however, we’ve recently discovered Quicksilver Limited, the brand’s premium extension collection, which offers some more sophisticated looks. For Summer/Fall 2009, Quiksilver Limited dives deep into it’s own archives, taking stock of a rich surf heritage and the artwork of Simon Buttonshaw and his Tom-Tom print. Tapping into a clean, minimalist aesthetic that combines nautical and military influence the current collection features pieces ranging from t-shirts and button-ups, to shorts and chinos.

Quiksilver is also stepping things up in the boardshort arena with the introduction of Diamond Dobby technology, a pattern that virtually eliminates rashing and chafing, while at the same time being ultra lightweight and drying twice as fast as the average boardshort. Quicksilver Limited is now available in select retailers.

Yesterday we presented you the Kicks/Hi summer t-shirts. Today we present you a nice collaboration between Kicks/Hi and Hurley on some flip flops and matching board shorts.
The flip flops come in two colorways and feature the Kicks/Hi logo on the heel. The boardshorts feature a Kicks/Hi x Hurley print on the front. The artwork on both pieces comes from Gio Estevez. Expect both the shorts and shoes to drop together with the rest of the Kicks/Hi Summer ‘08 collection. Via Ian Ginoza.

After giving you a first look at the Original Fake 2nd anniversary collaboration with Stussy last week, we give you here a closer look at the board shorts and sunglasses out of this get together.
The boardshorts come with a Kaws cross eyes all-over design in black/black and black/white. The sunglasses feature both the Stussy logo and the Kaws cross eyes as well and also come in two colorways. We are hoping that the sunglasses turn out cheaper than the first pair of sunglasses released by Original Fake last year, which went for almost 500 USD.

We give you a look at some pieces out of the Lemar & Dauley Spring 2008 collection. The brand keeps their color palette and presents a fresh set of t-shirts as well as some board shorts in the new collection.

We give you a first look at some Reason Clothing Spring 2008 pieces. In this preview you see a crewneck sweater, zip hoodie and board shorts, all coming in dark colorways, attracting attention more via pattern than colors, which is probably the main shift that we’ll be seeing in 2008. The Reason Spring ‘08 collection will be releasing February 15th.
