Today we report for the first time about Rockport. It’s a brand that we never really looked at or covered, but recently we got our hands onto their "Bridgeport" boat shoe and can not complain.
The Rockport "Bridgeport" is part of the "Established 71" collection of the brand. This collection is luxury-inspired and merges authentic versatile style with advanced technology. 
For now they offer the "Bridgeport" in a variety of colors, all coming in premium leathers. Soon you will also see some more wild styles with patent leather, checker designs and more. Definitely interesting and overall also very affordable.

Two nice new colorways of Nike’s take on a boat shoe, the Mad Jibe, have been released. They are now available at Proper in a dark brown and blue colorway. Both come with contrast stitching and leather laces. It is always surprising how good the Dunk sole actually looks on these. If you are looking for a more sporty boat shoe style, these might be worth looking into.

Without a doubt, boat shoes are this seasons hit and celebrate a huge comeback. We just recently presented you the Sebago x David Z collaboration (check out the Sperry Topsider x Band Of Outsiders collab as well) among many others.
Here you see now Vans’ take on the boat shoe – the Zapato Del Barco. It comes this season in navy blue and off white. A nice and clean shoe and for well below 100 USD the perfect companion for the summer.

Last week we showed you one colorway of the new Visvim Hockney Folk, of their Folk line, which is part of the Visvim Spring/Summer 2008 collection. Here you see now all colorways of the shoe, which is similar to the classic Hockney, but actually even closer to the classic boat shoe, which inspired the Hockney in the first place. Boat shoes seems to be a trend this year, not that they were ever gone, but brands that one would usually not find in this space, are adding the classic to their collections.
Billionaire Boys Club is one of them and has just released today their version of the boat shoe in their online store. It comes in two colorways and fuses the classic boat shoe upper with a more sneaker inspired sole. We enjoy the subtle branding, something one cannot always say about the brand.

The Visvim Lhamo Folk has been proven to be widely popular since the launch of Visvims new Folk collection this season. Here we present you the Hockney Bear Foot Folk.
The Visvim Hockney Bear Foot Folk looks similar to a classic boat shoe and comes in the same premium leathers as the Lhamo Folk FBT. It features a thin sole, white leather laces and is a perfect companion for the summer season.

We give you a first look at the Vans Vault Fall 2008 collection. The new collection looks better than anything we have seen in recent years. Solid colorways, premium materials and they are not going crazy with colors this time, which is also nice to see. Oestrich, pony hair and exotic leathers found their way into the line. Also Vans added again the Full Cab and a nice boat shoe to the line. They also experimented with the soles, adding an AF1/Dunk sole to some of their classics, which changes the look significantly. The Sk8 Hi comes in a camo and a khaki make-over with safari pockets, also interesting. Pics via Fresh Azimiz.

A few years ago pictures of this WESC x Adidas collaboration turned up, but they never got released. Sneaker Freaker now reports that they will finally be released in the coming weeks.
“Licensed as the only release to incorporate the two brands, the WeSC’s Compas shoe is in the style of a old French boat shoe. Full-grain leather on the mid and back sole is balanced by a graphic blue and yellow nylon and is supported by a ribbon of navy suede. Laser-etched on the back is WeSC’s iconic slogan “We are the Superlative Conspiracy” and the tongue features the WeSC two hands logo in gold. The sneakers also come with a change of laces to mix it up.”
