Adding their footprints to the now well-trodden path that is the boat shoe, Soulland presents a colorful, premium make-up of the seemingly must-have silhouette. Featured in a wine-like purple with green accents or a two-tone navy and red, the Scandinavian brand offers a supple suede take on the deck shoe. A somewhat turned up toe looks to be a unique detail, perhaps aiding in a more comfortable walking experience over longer distances than, say, the deck of a boat. Get yours from Norse Projects.

Michael from La MJC just dropped a preview of some forthcoming Sebago Docksides done is collaboration with Paris-based collective Cool Cats. Working with the classic boat shoe silhouette, Cool Cats applied multi-colored eyelets over a premium black leather upper with monochromatic laces, red lining, and standard white dock sole. Limited to 75 pairs, also known as the Paris lucky number. No specific release date has been mentioned, but we’re assured they’re coming very soon. 

Yesterday we presented to you the new A.P.C. Tennis Shoes. Here now a look at the new Summer 2009 boat shoes. For Spring these boat shoes already came in brown, beige and navy. For Summer A.P.C. has now released it in a white/brown colorway. The mix of matt and patent leathers on the upper came out nice and make this a solid release. They are now available at End.

Once again we show you some boat shoes, this time from Japanese brand Hare. Obviously these are not much different from all the other boat shoes on the market, that we have shown you over the past couple of months. With the recent hype around them, the choice is becoming larger every day.

Aside from the clean suede uppers and white sole, we especially like the choice of colorways from Hare this season. The purple suede colorway looks great and is a little less common as well.

Judging from the first images of the Spring/Summer 2009 collections, boat shoes will also be a major part of our footwear this coming summer. We have already seen new styles by Lanvin and by Sperry Topsider this season. Here we present you now the collaboration between New York design collective Vane and Sebago.

They worked on the classic Sebago Docksides boat shoe and gave it an updated look, adding some color and different leathers to the classic silhouette. The collection will be available at Training Camp, Brooklyn Circus Global, Alife and Format in New York City, Solemates in Chicago, The Closet in Los Angeles, Nubian in Japan, Nomad in Toronto this March. The Lanvin footwear collection has been extremely popular in the last couple of years and for Spring/Summer 2009 they once again propose a great selection. One of the highlights is for sure the blue satin and black leather boat shoe.

The sneaker program continues this season with further nice colorways in both the low top and the high top versions of their sneakers.

Just the other day we showed you the leather boat shoes by Billionaire Boys Club, which we definitely liked. Now they released them also in a canvas version in three colorways – beige, olive and denim. The idea to bring the boat show in canvas and denim is great, but again, if they could just have left out the diamond & dollar all-over print. Well, you can’t have it all.

Here we give you a look at some key pieces of the One True Saxon Spring/Summer 2008 collection. One of the areas in the collection focuses on summer hobbies/themes with graphics of deck chairs, caravans, ferris wheels etc. The images are really clean and strong.
Also the brand offers some quality cut & sew including knitwear, and really nice jackets. In terms of footwear One True Saxon proposes a subtle line-up of leather sneakers. Our favorite in the line-up has to be the boat shoe though.

Billionaire Boys Club took an interesting route with their new collection, incorporating American classic themes, such as the Tennis theme and others, usually known from brands such as Ralph Lauren. The direction is also seen in such pieces as the new Boat Shoes, which just dropped in stores. The shoe comes with a modern silhouette, but at the same time with all its classic features. Definitely a nice and unexpected piece by the brand.
