Boogie started photographing rebellion and unrest in his hometown of Belgrade, Serbia in the early 1990s. In an unlikely twist of fate, he won a lottery visa to the United States. With just a camera and no money in his pocket, Boogie quickly found his new home in the ghettos of New York City. The images depicted in the Boogie for Altamont collection are photos he took for his first book, It’s All Good, which documents the lives of gang members and drug addicts around his home in Brooklyn / Bed-Stuy.

The Boogie For Altamont Collection consists of t-shirts, hoodies and a canvas tote bag. Check it out in detail after the jump.

Brooklyn-based Serbian-born photographer, Boogie, has released the second volume in his city series entitled ‘Istanbul.’ The book is a result of a week long stay Boogie had in the city of Istanbul where he shot photos 15 hours a day. The result is 96 pages of black and white photography that give a starkly honest and transparent look at the feel and nature of this Turkish city. Along with the book, we’re releasing two tees on our FIFTY24SF line featuring the images from two pages out of the book.

The T-shirts are available in men’s sizes for $24, and the book is retailing for $20.
Born in Belgrade Serbia, street photographer Boogie possesses a rare talent for documenting the human condition. His black and white photographs capture the character and the inhabitants of some of the most tumultuous cities in the world.
Traditionally photojournalism focuses more on content–recording a moment or an event–and less upon formal concerns. However, Boogie gracefully integrates both a documentarian’s eye with a finely honed artistic sensibility. Many of his images are at once deeply poignant, and totally unsettling.
Boogie’s work has taken him from Serbia, to Cuba and throughout South America. In his new book, Sao Paulo, he features his remarkable impressions from one of Brazil’s poorest and most troubled urban metropolises. Boogie has also produced a new skate deck featuring his photography.
Both the deck and the book are now available here.
More images of both the deck and the book after the jump.

Famed photographer Boogie is about to release his newest book. Once again he presents a set of photos that he collected around the globe, showing special people and situations that he came across.
For the release of his new book he got together with NYC brand 10.Deep. Since they did not want to do only the usual t-shirt, that we got used to see for pretty much anything releasing these days, they went a step further and also created a zine, which consists of powerful images that did not make it into the book. The package thus consists of the new book, the zine and a special t-shirt and it will be released tomorrow night, March 20th, at the release event organized by Powerhouse Books.

10.Deep founder and designer Scott Sasso sat down with Boogie to talk about his work, his life and of course the new book. The outcome is an interesting conversation between two creative minds.
