adidas & Alexander Gnädinger "100 Girls on Polaroid" Book
With the support of adidas Originals, Alexander Gnädinger recently launched his book “100 Girls on Polaroid.” The Polaroids show something that is hard to find in times of digital photography: unaltered reality. The photographer captured the 100 girls how they naturally see themselves and how they want to be seen – what you see is what you get. The project was launched at No74 in Berlin during an exhibition showcasing Women’s archive shoes from like the Adria Jeans from 1978 to a adidas for Yohi Yamamoto shoe from 2001. ”100 Girls on Polaroid” is 476 pages long and features 250 photos, with a cover made of original polaroid cartons. Through August, the book will be available exclusively at No74 and internationally from September on.

Check out some looks of the adidas Originals & Alexander Gnädinger 100 Girls on Poloroid book and event after the jump.

unloveable Unloveable by Kai Regan and Tony Acabascio

There is never any shortage of documentary projects surrounding Lower Manhattan. With a multiplicity of scenes and movements, the area breeds rapid and even rabid artistic growth. “Unloveable” by Kai Regan and Tony Acabascio documents 5 years of what we may call the Aaron Bonderoff school of LES arts. In fact, the book was produced to commemorate his “OFF OFF BOWERY” show at Colette. A nice selection of photos and reminiscences.

adidas Originals x Lifelounge | All Day I Dream About Sneakers

adidas lifelounge all day i dream about sneakers 1 adidas Originals x Lifelounge | All Day I Dream About Sneakers

adidas Originals has worked with Lifelounge to bring you a book that showcases some impressive works of artist Fritz Träumer, entitled “All Day I Dream About Sneakers”.

All Day I Dream About Sneakers is a new collaborative project from adidas Originals and Lifelounge, inspired by the brand’s avid creeds of ‘Impossible Is Nothing’ and ‘Celebrate Originality’. The project showcases the story and kicks created by the world’s original sneaker freak, Herr Fritz Träumer – a mythical and enigmatic sneaker designer who dedicated his lifetime to constructing the most original range of sneakers ever seen.

A true visionary, Herr Fritz Träumer saw vast potential in the sneaker well beyond their athletic function and humble appearance. Absorbed daily in a world of sneaker design, he dreamed beyond the realm of possibility and quietly penned in a series of notebooks and journals, visions of sneakers that were truly out of this world.

In a unique collaboration with Lifelounge, adidas have published a limited edition book, exclusively available at sneaker retailers around Australia and New Zealand, featuring excerpts from Träumer’s private journals and imagery of his unique sneaker creations.

Pictured to the right of this post are images of his dream sneakers, some behind the scene photos of their creation and images from the celebratory exhibition at Melbourne’s Dakota 501 Store.”

Have a look at the impressive line-up of works by the artist after the jump.
