Some solid new pieces are coming from the BBC/Ice Cream Fall Collection. The drop this weekend includes two shirts, a two-tone one and a striped one, both coming with the jet emblem on the chest. Furthermore they present the Heart & Mind bow-tie, following up on previous releases with the artwork.

Bape is getting preppier in their Fall 2009 Collection. The latest releases include check bow ties and matching ties, as well as more colorful ties. Furthermore they have released their Bapesta sneaker in a checker outfit. We actually like the Bapesta in that look, especially for the summer.

A nice set of camo bow ties is coming from United Arrows. The silk bow ties are available in two colorways and are a nice alternative to the more classic ones one comes across. If you keep the rest of your outfit classic and simple, these are perfect to set accents.

The idea of adding a character to a bow tie is not that strange, considering the current trend towards the neck accessory, but we are not sure how many people will be able to pull off this new Alexis Mabille x Barbie “Ken” Bow Tie, created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the doll. We prefer the more classic pieces from Alexander Olch.

After working on ties with Edsor, Wood Wood now worked with the German brand, which has been around since 1909, on a bow tie. The bow tie comes in a white/blue colorway and features a bicycle all-over design in the fabric. Made 100% out of Italian silk and handmade in Germany, the bow tie is now available exclusively at the Wood Wood flagship stores in Copenhagen and Berlin.

The bow tie has certainly come back strong in fashion. These days we do not only see it with the suit, but as an accessory to a much more sporty and casual outfit. Thankfully Alexander Olch, the New York designer/film director, known for his tie/bow tie brand, explains in the video above for Complex how to best tie the bow tie. Via Selectism.

As part of their Fall/Winter 2008 collection, BBC/Ice Cream has just released the “Bow Tie” pack. The pack consists of hoodies, featuring a quilted lining, t-shirts and of course also two actual bow ties, whereas on the other pieces the bow tie is only printed.
