Johnny Cupcakes and Bobby Hundreds may have grown up on different Coasts, but they both share a drive and vision that has made their brands (Johnny Cupcakes and The Hundreds respectfully) some of the most recognizable in modern day street fashion.
Though they tend to serve different consumer sets, both young men are clearly peers in many respects.

The similarities in the rise of the The Hundreds and Johnny Cupcakes are very apparent: from their respective ages and to their drive to keep moving forward without concern for public acceptance.

Their brands are becoming more and more encompassing with each passing season, with focus on design, cuts, and packaging. Without any formal training in the industry both men have grown their brands into full fledged working business. Their flagship stores in Los Angeles (TH) and Boston (JC) are heavily trafficked stops for their fans and the curious alike.

Jeff Carvalho had the opportunity to sit down and talk to them about their relationship.

Agenda Tradeshow in San Diego just finished and with that the tradeshow season is finally over. The Hundreds reported live from the show and introduced two new brands that celebrated their debut at Agenda – Local Strangler and Cornerstore Hero. Both brand were created by Toney Bones, an industry veteran, and showed their Spring 2008 collections.

Local Strangler is the more grown-up and concept driven line, that combines smart design with  quality construction. Pieces previewed include t-shirts, denim, varsity jackets and more.

Corner Store Hero is targeted at a younger audience and has a “Vintage Americana” culture theme. Stronger colors and all-over prints can be seen in this first collection.

Make sure to keep your eyes on these two brands, as their first collections will be dropping beginning of next year. After the jump some more pictures from both lines.

Here we present you the Delivery 1 of the UNDR-CRWN Fall 2007 collection. It will be available in stores some time this week.
Not many brands out there have such a clear theme and direction such as UNDR-CRWN, that is exactly what makes them so strong and at the same time easy to understand. Continuing the path of becoming the Lacoste of Basketball, the brand releases strong designs this season mixing influences of basketball and streetculture smartly together. The quality and the details of their line are once again impressive.
In this first delivery for Fall 2007 you find wind breakers, track jackets, jerseys, shorts, polos and of course t-shirts. Have a look after the jump.

Once again Stussy and Undefeated are getting together. This time they are releasing again some t-shirt in Japan. The tees come in several colorways – white/gold, white/pink, black/silver and black/lt. green. They feature prints on the front, the back and also on both sleeves.
