Brooks Brothers, the iconic American brand, outfitted the famously green Hollywood legend, Kermit the Frog for his newest movie, Disney’s The Muppets which opens Thanksgiving weekend.

“Through the years Brooks Brothers has famously dressed high profile individuals including nearly every American president, captains of industry and countless actors and actresses for appearances both on and off screen,” said Claudio Del Vecchio, Brooks Brothers Chairman & CEO. “Kermit the Frog is an international legend admired by children and adults alike. Naturally we hopped at the chance to create his clothing.”

“I was very excited about my new wardrobe,” said Kermit. “I don’t often wear clothes but when I do I want something classic and expertly tailored,” he added.

“Brooks Brothers was the perfect match and fit for me,” said Kermit. “Growing up as a tadpole in a swamp with 3,265 brothers and sisters, you can imagine that I had a lot of hand-me-downs. I love the fact that these items were made exclusively for me”

Disney’s The Muppets, rated PG, opens in theatres November 23.

Classic American label Brooks Brothers works over a by-the-book Baseball Jacket in blue and white with contrast stripe knit cuffs and a check lining. By the way, when we say classic here, we use it in the sense of a company that invented the button-down dress shirt collar in 1896. Next to their collaboration with New Balance, Comme des Garcons eYe Junya Watanabe also worked with Brooks Brothers this season. The outcome is a great shirt, mixing different denim and camouflage cotton fabrics.

We can preview some items of the new Black Fleece by Brooks Brothers Fall/Winter 2010 Collection. We like the details that Thom Browne adds to the line. Overall we have to admit though, that we are starting to miss a little bit the point of differentiation between his collections for Moncler, Brooks Brothers and his own collection. Via honeyee.

The Levi Strauss for Brooks Brothers collection brings together two classic American labels for three collaborative pairs of denim.

“For generations, nothing has conveyed the image of iconic American style more than a pair of Levi’s jeans worn with a Brooks Brothers button-down shirt,” said Lou Amendola of Brooks Brothers to WWD.

Levi’s 501, 505 and 514 will all be available in six different washes, co-branded with Brooks Brothers labeling. Keeping things American, all jeans are made in Los Angeles. On sale today at Brooks Brothers stores.

Junya Watanabe is never shy of a collaboration and features every season several of them in his collections. Also the designer is very loyal to the collaborators and usually works with them on many collections. Therefore we present you with not much surprise the Fall/Winter 2009 collaborations of the eYe Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons label.

They once again worked with Brooks Brothers on some shirts, with The North Face on jackets, with Dickies on pants, with Baracuta on more jackets, with Lacoste on shirts and with New Balance on some sneakers. This is all product to look forward to!

Once again Junya Watanabe teamed up with Brooks Brothers for Spring/Summer 2009. We loved the pieces of last season, but they were also ridiculously expensive. To give you an idea, the Fall/Winter shirts went for 700 USD.

Well, nevertheless we want to show you the line-up for Spring. Once again they worked on two shirts, mixing traditional shirt fabrics in interesting ways. The shirts come in blue and white and feature the Brooks Brothers logo on the chest. Furthermore they worked on a great patchwork blazer.
