Launching in October 2011, the second collaboration between adidas Originals and Burton blends 90s snowboarding gear with the aesthetics of both labels. Comprised of 8 footwear and 25 apparel pieces, ranging from base layer t-shirts to flannel shirts and technical winter jackets. Within the new collection are several pieces created by Tokyo design icon Kazuki such as the winterized sneakers, Insulator Vest and Tech Jacket 3L. It looks like Burton teamed up with Red Wing to produce a set of snowboard boots. The boots imitate quite well the Red Wing Classic Work Boot, using original Red Wing leather on the upper, hiking boot laces and of course the white outer sole. There also seems to be a second colorway in the pack. It looks like the workwear crowd can finally switch from telemark skiing to snowboarding.

In an interesting new collaboration Burton has collaborated with the Hudson’s Bay Company on a snowboard. The Burton x Hudson’s Bay Company board graphic is based on the HBC’s trademark multistripe point blanket and is now available here.

Burton’s brand-new TRON: Legacy-themed snowboard boot is now hitting stores around the world. Inspired by Disney’s high-tech 3D adventure movie TRON: Legacy, the new boot is the result of a collaboration between Disney Consumer Products and Burton Snowboards.

“The exclusive new TRON: Legacy model, part of the all-new Burton Raptor boot line, blends best-in-class tech with an aesthetic that mirrors the high-tech world of TRON. Inspired by the film’s strong graphic look and feel, the boot is made to look like something out of the future, but seen through the eyes of a snowboarder back in 1982 when the original TRON film was released. A holographic treatment on the upper boot brings the futuristic feel to life, backed by electric orange and aqua color blocking and linear detailing taken right from the images of TRON: Legacy. With the collaborative adidas Originals x Burton Fall/Winter 2010 Collection to hit stores soon, we wanted to take another close look at the lifestyle part of the line. Today we preview in detail the Superstar and the Vulc Mid of the collection, which fuses classic Burton looks and adidas DNA.

Rad Collector had a first look at this Bob Marley board back in February, but today Burton has officially announced their collaborative Marley & Co Whammy Bar Snowboard.

Key features of the new Whammy Bar Marley board include a simulated wood-grain topsheet layered with a series of classic photos from Bob Marley’s family archives. The images reflect his love for family, music and life. In addition, the base of the board features a powerful graphic showcasing the traditional Lion of Judah integrated with the colors of the Rasta flag and Burton branding.

Available this season as part of the Burton Restricted collection.
