New LEICA M8.2 Digital Rangefinder Camera

highsnobiety - New LEICA M8.2 digital rangefinder camera

“The new LEICA M8.2 is an exciting upgrade of Leica Camera AG’s German-made M series digital rangefinder camera for professionals. Improving on important LEICA M8 attributes such as discretion, intuitive work and robustness , the new model retains the key characteristics of the Leica reportage camera such as the compact shape, the exceptional image quality in connection with Leica M lenses and the unique picture composition with the Leica rangefinder that show it to be a genuine M camera. The LEICA M8.2 complements the M8, and many elements of the M8.2 can be integrated into the M8 if desired. With this parallel marketing, Leica Camera AG is underlining yet again the full system compatibility and high value retention of its M series.” (via Image Insider).

We always loved the Leica M8 and now it has gotten even better. If you have some spare cash, than you should definitely consider it.

highsnobiety - Dorophy Tang For Lomography
Not long ago we reported about the work of Chinese contemporary artist Dorophy Tang and her work for Adidas. After previously also working with Medicom on a 1000% charity Bearbrick, the artist has now gotten together with Lomography to give the Diana+ her own special look.
"Dorophy Tang is a Chinese designer/illustrator whose work mixes traditional Chinese style influences and vintage elements. She has just worked with camera makers Lomography on their Diana+ model. A very cool film camera, the Diana+ features a plastic lens that produces dreamlike photography with adjustable aperture for shooting wide angle imagery at a very low cost. The intricate designs on the camera are quite similar with the work she did for Adidas, undoubtedly her best known work." Via Wickedhalo.

highsnobiety - creative vado
A good number of pocket size video cameras are hitting (and have been on) the market. Highly adaptable and easily transfered to video sharing sites, these cameras make the potential of a spontaneous sketch comedy routine possible.
Creative has just released the Vado as an entry into the pocket camcorder market. Reviews suggest decent video, and (no surprise) bad sound. Engadget has the full rundown.

Gallery 1950 regularly teams up with Porter to create accessories for their collections. We have recently presented to you a series of gore-tex jackets of the G1950 Fall/Winter 2007 collection. What made them stand out, was the colorful zippers in contrast to the simple jackets overall. The same concept they have now translated into their latest series of accessories with Porter. They made G1950 bike chains, camera/cellphones cases and also a series of wallets.

O’Neill H4 Campack

RTEmagicC oneill 1.jpg ONeill H4 Campack
The O’Neill H4 Campack is designed to be used as a fully functional snowboard backpack with the addition of an integrated portable media player and external camera lens.

With ease-of-use lying at the heart of the H4 Campack, the wearer is able to start and stop recording almost effortlessly by pressing a large button positioned on the left shoulder strap. There is most probably no better way to film freestyle and freeride snowboarding action.

The portable media player is positioned in the backpack’s top pocket safely stored between protective padding. The media player records all the action captured by the goggle strap or helmet mounted camera lens. For instant review on the mountain slope, open the top pocket and check your action via the media player’s screen. For sharing or Internet upload, take out the SD card which is used for video storage and copy the videos to a laptop.
Definitely a pretty nice idea and actually something that makes sense. The O’Neill H4 Campack will soon be available at the Colette online store.
