Olympus presents their new XZ-1 compact camera. Featuring a 6-24mm Zuiko zoom lens (28-112mm equivalent) with f/1.8-2.8 aperture range, the camera competes directly with the likes of the Canon G12. The camera also includes HD video, a 10MP sensor and a 3-inch OLED display. Looks good too.

The Leica M9 has been released with a new limited edition silver chrome and brown ostrich leather body, with sapphire glass and a Leica 35mm f/2 Summicron lens. The kit is now available select Leica Boutiques in a limited, numbered run of 50 cameras.

Munich retailer Harvest initiated an interesting collaboration for Holiday 2010. They linked up with Leica and asked local brand akindofguise to produce leather camera straps for the X1 and V-Lux 20, which they now offer as a special Harvest Edition Pack in store. Furthermore they invited 5 photographers to take pictures with the X1 and will be launching the product with a vernissage this coming Thursday, December 9th.

Canon unveils an impressive new Digital SLR Camera, the EOS 60D. Key features are outlined below:

It features an improved APS-C sized 18.0 Megapixel CMOS sensor for tremendous images, a new DIGIC 4 Image Processor for finer detail and excellent color reproduction, and improved ISO capabilities from 100 – 6400 (expandable to 12800) for uncompromised shooting even in the dimmest situations.
